Hi firstly thanks to original poster, I havnt been on for a while and what a nice way to start back on mse again :rotfl:

have you had your delivery yet? redmel.

I ordered on sunday, also as a new user on tesco website, I have ordered 18 bottles 8@ £8.99 and 10@ £5.99 but all of them 2 for £10 , my total came to £93 ( inc £3 delivery) and had vouchers that came to £14 , my initial guide price ( as they call it) was £79 with vouchers and 2 for £10 deals taken off, I like you panicked a bit and ended up calling them and was told that the 25% was a new offer and would not show until my items were delivered and show on the receipt.

so, my delivery doesnt come until wed between 2&3 so I wont know until then if the 25% has been taken off, they man on phone said to call if it wasnt,

so worst senario for me would be £56.50 (25% off £90 order) or best senario £46 if 25% is taken off full wine price, if I got my maths right lol. either way, it will mean either £ 2.55 aprox a bottle or £3 ish both a fab deal.

EDIT JUST HAD MY HOME DELIVERY!

I had set myself up for a best or worst senario, but hadnt bargained for an even better senario! For me my total price was way better than I had hoped for BUT it may  others if you are ordering (and want) specific wines and could effect the over all cost depending on the price that day when they put your order together....iyswim, am I confusing you:eek: this is only for home delivery from tesco, not tesco wine.

I am good at maths but Because this was my first ever tesco order online the receipt has flumoxed me in the fact all my 8 @ £8.99 were substituted for others which were not on the 2 for £10 deal, However, I am certainly not complaining as my bill for 18 bottles came to £39.92 (£3 of that was delivery) so a fab £2.05 per bottle!!!

My bill total also included a £23.04 price match refund :T:T

ordered 4 x kumala reserve chenin qty 4 total price £20 substituted with tesco finest swartland price I pay £15.55 ???
    PMRefund £12.41

kumala reserve shiraz qty 4 total price £20 substituted with garden route, price I pay £13.33???? PMRefund £10.63

cost of products pre promotion £88.78 ( so slightly less than my 2 for £10 deals thats with the price match of £23.04 taken off full price of wines, my original order was £131 full price
so £111 less £23.04 price match
    then £88.78 less £27.96 25% off 6 or more
    less £9.90 wines 2 for £10

    less £14 coupons

    39.92
    less £3 delivery

total £36.92 for wine alone equates to £2.05 a bottle :T

originally I had ordered all 2 for £10 wines and expected around £46 to pay, (vouchers off included) however because 8 were substitutions and NOT in the 2 for £10 deal AND they were £2 cheaper AND I got price match refund, this was the only way I got it this cheap and not because of the 25% off the £8.99 a bottle ones, awww gawd, bet I confused everyone, anyways I am. a happy bunny as only drink rose and got that and other stuff is for guests lol

I always wait for these offers to come along and then load up! OK, I might not have done as well as some others here, but I've still managed to stock up with some really good wines, mainly Finest, for under three quid a bottle! My garage is beginning to look like the store room of an Off licence!

Because we all need to be babysat in Scotland  I cannot partake in the instore offers which usually work out a lot better than the wine by case offers! I have managed to pick up a couple of cases for half price with the 25% off but you are very limited as to what you can chose. I suppose it makes you try a lot more wines as your favourites are not always on offer! I don't even drink the stuff but I have a very happy OH!:rotfl:
  • Brilliant offer.
I got 18 bottles this morning & used a £5 helping hand voucher to take the £131 bill down to £40!
  • Thank you everyone for all the info and tips on this thread. I have just picked up 12 bottles of wine for £26.12.....bought the two for £10 deals and had a £10 off on spend of £60 or more on beers wines n spirits, with 25% off! Really happy with that. :))
  • seems to be selling out all over the place, went to two extras today and both had out of stock labels in place of the two reds on the offer. wonder if they will get any more stock before the offer ends?
    Car Boot Queen!!

Clothes Golden Rule: Never pay full price unless it is an utter bargain in the first place!
Sales, boots, charity shops, ebay- why would anyone ever pay full price for anything??!
