Bought 6 bottles from the 2 for £10 range and the 25% came off the original price.

Had a bit of a limited choice as was at the very end of the day and a few shelves of the offer bottles were empty.

At first thought there weren't any 2 for £10 as there wasnt the usual display but we checked all the SELs and ound them. Dragged hubby along and he was very impressed

Can anyone confirm this is still working, please. taking the 25% from the full value first before applying the 2 for £10. Also has anyone placed an online order using a new customer code, did it take the 25% off the reduced guide price?

I have a delivery due tomorrow and i'm just trying to decide whether to cancel it or not lol,

Hi firstly thanks to original poster, I havnt been on for a while and what a nice way to start back on mse again :rotfl:

have you had your delivery yet? redmel.

I ordered on sunday, also as a new user on tesco website, I have ordered 18 bottles 8@ £8.99 and 10@ £5.99 but all of them 2 for £10 , my total came to £93 ( inc £3 delivery) and had vouchers that came to £14 , my initial guide price ( as they call it) was £79 with vouchers and 2 for £10 deals taken off, I like you panicked a bit and ended up calling them and was told that the 25% was a new offer and would not show until my items were delivered and show on the receipt.

so, my delivery doesnt come until wed between 2&3 so I wont know until then if the 25% has been taken off, they man on phone said to call if it wasnt,

so worst senario for me would be £56.50 (25% off £90 order) or best senario £46 if 25% is taken off full wine price, if I got my maths right lol. either way, it will mean either £ 2.55 aprox a bottle or £3 ish both a fab deal.
  • Just a thought but has anyone tried this on the mini bottles yet to see what the eventual price is? They are on 4 for price of 3 and most are around the 1.99 mark per bottle so 'normal' price would be £6 for 4 but is 25% coming off the 4 x 1.99 (£8) or the £6? Of course, you would have to buy 8 bottles to qualify for the 25% off ....

Not as good as prices we've had in the past for the mini bottles, I know but if you need some little ones for hampers it might still be worth a go?

RE small bottles, yes it works - 25% off the £1.99 price.

I bought 12, as it works for 4,3,6,2 - whatever. Comes out at £1 a bottle - not great, but I like some of the 'flexibility' of having some small bottles.

Also got plenty of the 2 for £10 large ones (McWilliams and Kumala) in store and delivery, £5 off £40 spend etc etc. Very happy.

EDIT - Worked perfectly and I am very happy :)
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.
  • Tidy deal. Bought 2 cases of Croft Purple Velvet port - normally £14.00 a bottle. So £168's worth of port for £63, or from £14.00 per bottle, down to £5.25 a bottle delivered. Any way you look at it, £5.25 is cheaper than even own brand standard port. Tesco own brand ruby port is £6.50 a bottle.

Let's hope Croft Purple Velvet isn't pants.
