  • For someone with such lazy attitude to spelling. You are very finicky about minor issues. I think the sprayer fid have a long and hard look at this and decided to line up the paintaaccordingto tthebody contours rather than where the rubber ggrommet ends

your that immature? seriously? especially with my signature....

a minor issue like that can affect end value especially in a sports vehicle with paint jobs its all about minor issues no being dealt with or handled correctly.

finicky no I have an eye for detail.

alteration to color, needs to be declared you would also need to alter the color section on your V5C from silver to black/silver via the DVLA if you want to go down the rout of doing everything right.

The DVLA are only interestted in what colour the majority of the vehicle is, in as fewer words as possible, preferably one.

Lots of new cars have contrasting roofs, and I've only ever seen the main body colour listed on the V5.

The only exception I've ever seen are vehicles that are listed as "multicoloured", but this is generally because they really, really are.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?

My car came from the factory with a black roof due to the panoramic windscreen. Without it, it would just look odd imo.

My V5 doesn't mention the black.

The only car that springs to mind that is listed as multicoloured is the Polo Harlequin. I've seen only one on the road, so fairly rare.

Although I wonder what the Rovers with the monogram paint job have on the V5s.

Looks like someone has had a lot of accident damage and could only afford secondhand panels, which they couldn't colour match.

BTW anyone old enough to remember the Austin A40 Farina. All Mk1s (1958-61) had black roofs, main colour being red, blue, green or sivery grey. Mk 2s had more colour choice for the roofs.

Having read the same comment I was about to say the same thing.

The info on the V5 isn't that detailed and BMW have been offering a wide choice of roof colours/covers on the Mini since it came out.

Not seen a V5 with "Blue and a Union Flag roof" on it yet.

As you say, it is simply the majority colour that gets stated so the OP needs do nothing with the DVLA
What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?
