Cant get popla reference number

Hi i have appealed a ticket i got from wyparkingenforcement. They refused my appeal and provided no explaination. I made clear to them in my appeal i would tak the matter to popla if they reject my appeal.
When i finally got my appeal rejected letter they Basically stated that if i was to appeal to popla they will increase the find from £90 to £190 which is a complete joke.
I have been trying to appeal to popla but wyparkingenforcemnt havent provided me with a 10 digit reference number. I have written, rung and emailed them with no luck. Any suggestions as to how i move forward with this,

Many thanks

  • Write back and advise that if they do not supply you with the requested Popla code then you consider the appeal successful and the matter closed

What has been their response when you contacted them asking for it ?

Make a strong complaint to the BPA copying them in on the correspondence you've received from W Y Parking.

Here's the email address to use

Any chance you could scan and upload the 'if you appeal to POPLA it's £190' letter here please?

Detail all this stuff in your complaint to the BPA.

Also complain to the dvla, please don't just let this slide, you have a legal right to use popla, so complain, complain , complain!

Potentially a silly question but was this a ticket put on your windscreen ?

Also one of my main appeal points was that the location i parked had signage up stating of fine of £60 but on the penalty notice they stipulated £90. I have been looking into it further and they have a similar setup at many other locations. Sign says £60 but ticket states £90. They didnt bother answering this point so im going to forward the pictures to trading standards

OK - just checking. W Y Parking haven't registered with the BPA for ANPR. Follow the advice already given.

Did they give you a POPLA form? If so check it for the verification code. I am sure you have done, but we have seen people miss their POPLA deadline thinking they had no code when they did.

Did they give you the POPLA website? If so have they hidden a 10 digit number anywhere in the letter at all?

If not then certainly complain to the BPA about that and about telling you wrongly that they can increase the charge if you take it to POPLA. They cannot, and you won't be paying!

We haven't seen Notices and letters from this lot before, can you take a pic of both sides of all letters so we can see if they are not compliant (expect so!). You have a good point already about the signage - can you show us a picture of that as well please?

    This should be fun.
