They simply sent a one page letter stating my appeal was rejected and i need to pay £90 now. They gave no advice about popla only that, if i go to popla they will increase the fine to £190. I have all over and cannot see the appeal reference number. They answered none of my appeal points of which there were many.

Can you scan that document in for us please? Got to see this as they have put into writing something that seriously they need kicking in the teeth for. They can only claim what's on the NtK, they cannot add £100 for using it! Use tinypic to host the image

I agree follow the advice, and send complaints. I would think that they will probably say its a printing error, as they didn't mean to put a one in front of the 90. A very convenient error that they have sent out a multitude of times, and it's designed to put people off popla.

It clearly states that the fine would 'increase' if i went to popla which i dont believe can be excused away as a typo. Also i rung up and spoke to them and they confirmed it would be £190 if i went to popla. I will email bpa, dvla etc tomorrow. Thanks for the advice

I've asked the bpa via twitter for explanation from them, I will be amazed if they will answer me, I've put a few awkward questions to then without answer. You still make the complaints to them.

That letter is shocking in that they really don't give you any POPLA code and pretend the amount will increase to £190 even though the back of the Notice says (correctly) that it will be frozen during appeal. Then you have the £60 on the signs on site compared to £90 on the PCNs!

The BPA and DVLA will hopefully investigate both issues.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
