CCS review - stop the scam

Had you invested the money you paid to CCS the interest would be quite insubstantial. I'd just forget about it.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

I was also scammed by CCS Review and if it hadn't been for the advice on this forum I don't know what I would have done. When they called I was in a very low mood as my father had just passed away days before. Under different circumstances I am sure I wouldn't have been taken in. I claimed under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 and my credit card company investigated and refunded me the whole amount of £1,419.12. Thanks again to everyone who posted to this forum.:j0

Hi, I have not posted here before, but have been scammed by this company too. They cold called in November and were so convincing I fell, stupidly for their speel. I digitally signed on line and within 2 days £2605 was taken from my Credit Card. When told my other half he went mad and I called them to cancel, all within the 14 day cooling off period in their terms and conditions. I was put through to the person I had spoken too previously and he tried all ways to get me to change my mind and eventually called me a time waster and hung up on me.
I called back and spoke to someone else and they said it would take 14 days to process once I signed their cancellation form. I did all this, cancelled by email phone and post. I have tried to contact the Swansea Office several times with no success. Called their Pool Office to be told that the call centre in Swansea has been closed and everything is being dealt with at Pool. They gave me an email address of Refunds@fullfinancial.co.uk to send my refund request to and they would deal with it, they said I would not be emailed by them as they only deal with refunds. I'm still waiting for my refund, now going through the credit card company. Hope this works. If anyone has any advice please let me know.0 -
Going to the credit card company is the way to get your money back.
You should also report the matter to ActionFraud.0 -

Do you happen to have the number of the Poole office? The 0800 number is NU, and the email address you showed is coming back as Undeliverable
Also, can anyone tell me how you go about claiming through the Credit Card company please? :wall:0 -
is it also a scam with prosearch? they wrote to me to say i was owed £43 from lloyds shareholder account and they would get it for me but charge £12. I phoned lloyds and they said that part of their business was closed so I had to go with a firm who charged. Is that right?0

i got scammed a while back please see previous posts. Trust me i did everything to get my money back from the company. Forget it the only way of doing it is to contact your credit card company explaining exactly what has happened. On here there is fantastic guidance on how to claim back using your credit card. Basically the company have to prove that your money is being used the way you asked and if you have cancelled within the 14 day cancellation time your safe and will recive a full refund immediatley with CCS or what ever they now call themselves having 90 days to challenge Trust me they will but they dont have a leg to stand on and all the time you have your money back. hope this helps. all is not lost. if you dont have a cedit card or paid with a differnt means you can still make a similar claim. check out the internet dont let them take your money.
information on how to make a credit card claim can be found on this site at the top of this page under section 75 refunds. Hope this helps0 -
I have been contacted by the above company (Swansea, Wales) today claiming to be able to claim back £15000 in wrongly charged arrangement fees which were added on to total mortgage cost. All seemed plausible until In was asked to provide credit card details to cover 2 x legal cost of £995 'authorisation only' and to be refunded after 30 days once the claim was processed. I queried why I would be asked for this up front and the call handler then became very pushy and had me looking up the Government Justice site to prove they were registered and assuring me everything was legit and that they are in partnership with mastercard and any transactions are insured. More or less tried to make me feel very ignorant for mistrusting and not going ahead with the "authorisation pre payment"... VERY VERY pushy and convincing but I wouldn't make any payments up front with any of these companies. They did also have details of my previous mortgage providers but I assume this information would be fairly easy to find out?
I previously claimed for a wrongly sold endowment but at no point gave out any account or credit card details and received a cheque for monies owed to us.0
