dh at work; big sis on her wayto Canterbury; niece still sleeping and dd nattering away (donkeys everywhere: beware!). Workout done. Dd reminded me we're not going out!
To do:
- wash up DONE TWICE
- washing DONE
- knit DONE
- take decs down DONE, NOW DH NEEDS TO PACK LIGHTS AWAY
- plan time frame for this term DONE BUT NO DETAIL
- plan dd party food
- plan dd party games schedule
- change bed STRIPPED BUT NOT REMADE AS YET...
All nicely mundane jobs really! Better get started ...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Big sis and niece have headed for home today. Dd had tap + ballet, and fees were due, so I've also been to the Post Office, charity shops near the dance lessons, then D1sney store + Argos trying to hunt down three Frozen dolls. Dd usually has a bu1ldabear for her bday, and had already decided on the bear + clothing she wanted. Til this afternoon! All change! Hence the hunting. We found 1 in the ds, have reserved 1 for collection in Arg0s, and are still hunting for the final one.
So, not a NSD, but a planned spendy one. It's been harder to keep off sugar and grains, but I had a smaller lunch than normal, so that's why. Mustn't do that!!! Tea'll be ready once dd's stories are done - phew. Having declared my intentions publicly, it's easier (or rather, less hard) to keep to them. And I already see a difference on the scales, which is a boost!
Was well pleased with yesterday's knitting - an owl - for a party next weekend. Will add in a multicoloured pen and hey presto! Sorted.
Christmas decs are all boxed up, just the trees to put back outside.
DH is on PA tomorrow so will leave early for church and Dd has a scaled down version of kids klub. Hopefully, a quiet day...
Time to watch Sherlock.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

It was all right. Some of the flashing sequences were a bit long and weird! Would need to watch it again, as prob missed some important bits in the dialogue. I think that if I'd not seen previous programmes then I'd have been quite lost and confused. That said, will still watch the others!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
There is more tonight.0

think the first one was more about setting up the storyline for the remaining two episodes. Tonight's should be good - Sherlocks's social awkwardness + wedding = comedy gold?
Trivia - Sherlock's parents are Cumberbatch's real parents.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -

I've highlighted tonight's episode to watch - unless dh's predelection for MASH wins!
Acquired NSD 3 today, and kept on with sugar and grain free now at 5/5.
Spent the afternoon trying to make a fairy house with dd. We didn't get very far, so she'e learned what 'an on-going project' is.
I was thinking earlier on that we were running out of veg. Then I made soup with chorizo, onion, potato, celeriac, a grotty courgette, some not-so-fresh coriander and red cabbage. Not bad, eh? I'm starting to learn how to eat down supplies, and see just how much we still have in. We are totally out of eggs, as sis + niece ate 4; but they'll not be replaced til Tues when I shop. Cheese is diminishing rapidly, but so long as there is enough for dd's meals, we can ration it out to the big people.
I've finally stuck up a list of 6 different meal combos on a cupboard door, to help with ideas when we get in from work. Next to it will go the 'what are we doing with dd re school each day' list - more for dh than me, as I know it, having been the one to arrange it!
Back to sch for me tomorrow, for a training day. Am really looking forward to the term:rotfl:, even tho I'm aware I'll have a shedload of extra work!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Sherlock got recorded in the end - required too much brain power!
Am up bright and esrly and have to wake dd in 5 mins. She'll struggle to wake up so won't be a pretty sight! U til then, I'm watching Peppa on my own!
Have decided to spend today - there are too many things needed for dd that can't wait til tomorrow. I can't get to Ald1, so !celand it is. At least they have a clear pricing policy - it's clearly more then Ald1! But I can also get stuff for dd's party on Sat and milk and eggs are the same price so will buy plenty as have the car today but not tomorrow.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
I have 'to do' lists for tomorrow dotted around so am trying to centralise the chaos!
- sch run DONE
- find out when after sch club starts DONE
- do washing DONE
- wash up DONE
- food shop DONE
- bank cheques + coins DONE
- print out y11 speaking CAN'T DO - NOT GOT IT WITH ME
- finish small owl completely
- wrap dd's presents DONE MOST
- prep party games - pass the parcel especially!
- take my presc to chem DONE - NOW NEED TO COLLECT IT

- make bday cake (oops - soooo nearly forgot this one!) DONE THO NOT ICED YET
- do a workout DONE
Hope that's all.
As expected, a spendy day. But all needed - no frivolities! Sugar and grain free status intact! Wobbled this evening, but it was thirst. When I eat like this, I think my body needs more water. Fortunately, I love water! After my morning black coffee, it is my preferred drink. I'm so cheap to maintain...
Off to refine tomorrow's shopping list and pack dd's bag.
Back tomorrow to use the list.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
