Struggling with a very sore throat and gallons of snot.😤 (That's the nearest emoji I could find for snot!) Will take a c test in the morning. Am assuming it will be clear as I only had it 2 months ago. And tomorrow should be an easy day at work. Hopefully. I think I can get by with minimal talking. So, after the f+v box triumph, I'm feeling rather sorry for myself. Lem51p hasn't done a thing - though they were 'use by 1 Oct 22', so that's clearly why...! I'm very grateful for balm tissues.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!1

Thank you earthie! I'm quite a lot better today (and not at work, which also helps!) and slept better than Monday night.I decided to go for a walk today (as the gym/a workout is out of the question), potentially about 3 miles, to some charity shops. But firstly, I had to drop pip at school then go to aldee (for harvest/foodbank items) and icyland (for smiling faces for pip for school) and drop the faces at pip's school and then do a sainz visit! That got me over 5000 steps before I'd even set off! It's windy outside but very mild, so off I waddled and I did about 2.75 miles, catching the bus for the last bit (and ensuring I caught buses back within the hour, to save a fare). I've decided to look for small presents for pip, to use as an advent calendar thing. Today I found some white modelling clay. And also got 16 long candles for £5. Pip struggles with the flickeringness of candles, so I want to look into those 'put it under a plant pot and heat the room' style of information. So far, I'm at about 13k steps, so I'm happy with that. Not sure if I said, but I've signed up for my school's fair. I must find out when it is... And that is giving me some motivation to make things for it.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2

Today was quite a tough day at work. It was non-stop for 8 hours and my pre-school meeting left me feeling bleurgh for the day (still feeling it now. Need time to process it and do something with what was said). It was a meeting before school, a full day of teaching, break duty, lunchtime club. Ooph. I think I'm feeling overwhelmed at what I'm now expected to produce/do... On 2 days a week. Dump. I start the week feeling all in control and by the end of a Friday, I'm fed up. Sigh. But now it is the weekend. Pip has already been bouldering and there's a comp on tomorrow which we may well pop along to after dance. Pip's fave instructor was there this evening and he enthused pip about the comp, which was lovely.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2

Always the problem with part time work, that they forget to look at the hours you're actually committed to (although of course teachers with *full* time jobs get that too). Anyway ... remember their attitude towards you ... please.2023: the year I get to buy a car3

I'll not forget!! I took a while getting to sleep last night, with it all whizzing round my head.Liddle called and I responded. Am I addicted...??? Got another box:10 bananas10 onions5 peppers4 plums4 big potatoes2 aubergine2 packs broccoli1 pack padron peppers1 red cabbage1 iceberg - a really lightweight squishable one1 pomegranate1 apple1 head of garlic1 grapefruitI'm going to give a fair amount to a neighbour, as we'll not get through it on our own.I also picked up 3 packs of various daffodil bulbs, as I want a daffodil corner in the front - which probably entails actually planting them under the grass. I already have one of those gizmos to pull out a circle of soil, so just need to do it!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!3

2 onions, 2 potatoes, 1 head of broccoli, 5 cloves of garlic and some water. The slow cooker is full to the brim, doing it's stuff.Neighbour was very pleased with the veg 😎.Pip is not in a very good way. Slept for 12+ hours. So pleased I pulled them out of being a tour guide for the open morning today.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!4

Even ordinary adolescence is so demanding - then add modern society, then add at least two years of differing levels of isolation because of covid ... it's rough. I'm glad they could just sleep.2023: the year I get to buy a car3
