And now I have extra extra extra marking!

Am in bham now at the end of a busy day.

Took dd to sch then went on to my sch to finish clearing up and taking papers to recyc and books to the car. Then to the ch shop - 2 heavy bags. Then the PO. Then the bank. Then back to the car via liddle (heavy bag). Then took a h e a v y box of books to 0xfam. Then home for lunch. Phew. Had an epsom salts bath - v nice! Then to the dentist. Then to dd's taekwondo grading (she passed, of course :T). Then finished packing and set off.

Tomorrow I want to drop off papers to the solicitor as soon after 9 as I can and then be back here for 11 as the charity people may turn up then. By teatime tomorrow I may be sitting, sleeping and eating on the floor! Which would be a good thing. Once they have been, I'll go and see mum for a bit :D.

But for now, I need my sleep. We had a worrisome email yesterday that upset both of us and neither of us slept restfully. Hope tonight is better, as we have replied to it.

Hope the charity people turned up and - more importantly - the worrisome matter is now less worrisome/ hopefully resolved x

Thank you guys - dh replied to the worrisome matter and it is sorted.

Charity people turned up but took nowt - it is all good quality but not in perfect enough condition for them to sell. Sigh. I have another charity coming in 2 weeks but I may well call a few more, as some of them will GIVE it to people who need it and I would love that to happen. And we can't leave it too late or it will have to go to the tip. Yikes.

I still can't quite believe that I have broken up, as last week was just so busy. It'll sink in soon enough...

Went ot bed v v v late (11.30 or later) after marking until 10pm ( the extra extra extra extra stuff) and then chatting with big sis. Slept rather badly and then a loud car drove up the road before(?) 6am and was playing loud music and hten stopped and had the door open. And continued with the loud booming music. After about 10 mins, they drove away. Loudly. Ugh. Then I drifted in and out of sleep for about 10 mins at a time so got up very near 7am. Ugh!

Discovered that the last remnants that i had opted not to finish last night were still there, waiting for me! So I obliged and finished them off.

But have not picked up any of the free-for-all stuff. We both went to see mum and brought her back to the church coffee morning then had a wander in the graveyard. Mum really benefits from time outside in woods or quiet nature-y places. I left mum + big sis at about 12 and headed home.

Having done 24k steps yesterday, I've 'only' made it to 13k today, but my legs/feet/hips would not have been able to do that amount again.

And my brain would not have been able to properly mark stuff, so it was a deliberate decision not to pick any up.

What a pain about the charity :( Are there any furniture recycling projects close by? - we have several around here. Some give furniture away, some refurb/ upcycle/ just clean/ repair by employing people in need and selling on at reasonable prices.

Trying to dispose of things responsibly can sometimes by so hard!!! :(

There is a recycling place, but they don't collect! I may contact them again to ask if they would have the stuff if I can get it to them... BUt then I'd need to hire a man with a van...

Anyhow, have spent a shedload of money today. we have booked flights to Spain and accommodation. We're going to visit my friend who lives out there. if it were jsut me + dd, we'd be able to stay with her, but we are taking dh along and I don't think we would all squeeze in with her + her 3 kiddies. Plus, they are all used to living in close proximity and at a loud volume. We most definitely aren't! So i opted for our own space. No doubt we'll spend a lot of time with them all, but we can escape too. We go in 2 weeks :D.

Good news - dd has the teacher we really wanted next year. yay!!!!:j:j:j

Indeed it is, greent. We're going to Galicia where they also speak gallego, which I find harder to understand. Mostly 'cos they mumble, I'm sure!

Got zcut KB #8 done this morning. It has been a week since my last weights workout and I could feel it!

Did some number crunching for my marking pay. I think it'll be worth it! But because they pay me in dribs and drabs (or that's what it seems like - it's probably a totally sensible system to them) I need to keep a close eye on it all.

Finished making up the posies for 4 staff at dd's school. A total of 22 flowers knitted. Dd chose the ribbons and we are both rather smug with our handiwork!

Did even more marking today! But I chose to do it. :D More pennies for the pot.

Helped a friend fill in some paperwork which should help another friend get some help she needs for her child.

Saw my dr and my bloods are all normal.

Did zcut #9 all with my 12k kb. Go me. :T

A much needed quiet day with no appointments - it's been about 10 days of constant scheduling to be in the right place at the right time.

Started on 4 lavender-belly-nellies for our friends in Spain. They just need their bellies sewing up.

Also marked some more - can't believe there is still stuff out there to mark! But becuase I choose to do it, it is more relaxed.

Watched much of the Tour, up Alp d'Huez. Wow!

Took advantage of the b-a-b £12 off voucher and took dd to the shop. We were planning to go on Sat but tonight was late-opening and it was a much more relaxed 2-hour excursion than doing it on Sat.
