Thank you one and all for your contributions and care.

I have discussed the rules with dd (!) about water and leccy usage, g-f/or not food, fridge and freezer usage, laundry, washing up and cooking, shopping, tv hogging, bedtime (dd's + noise), personal space.

    So that's that sorted, eh?!

And on a nother note: dd and I have gone through her drawer of trousers as she told me this morning she only had 2 or 3 pairs of leggings in there. I found about 15 pairs! And she has opted to get rid of about 10 pairs of trousers in total. Go girl!

She also agreed to her Mr Men and Little Miss books going. We offered them to a little boy up the road and he now has a load of Mr Men books. Yay! A little girl down the road will be offered the Miss ones.

Sally Army said that they can make use of our humidifier - result. So that is in the next bag which is already 3/4 full.

I confess to acquiring yet more wool today. Lovely teal and blue colours. Just right for monsters...

And I sold some Lego on gumt today. It was dd's, of course, so I gave her the money, a la greent.

We swam. Yippee! Being able to travel by car was a luxury. We had to go in the 'big pool', which dd found extremely scary at first. But by the end (we lasted about 1 hour) she was pottering around out of her depth with a girl from her school - albeit with armbands and a noodle on! A big step forward in her confidence in the water :). And worth every penny of the £1.40 we were charged to go in. I'm not sure how we get it so cheap, so I'm not going to query it with them...

And I got to swim various lengths as little friend's mum stayed with both girls. Will no doubt feel it tomorrow :D. Since we got home, dd hasn't moved from the sofa - v out of character! I've only got up to make lunch and to ensure I don't seize up!

2/5 swim sessions done for the summer.
    3/5 Sally Army bags.
    19/32 craft items.

And then I did a tough workout. Silent Killer. With my 25lb sandbag, Then I did the same amount of time jogging on the spot. I defo will NOT be able to move well tomorrow!

Dh is home later. Hopefully there won't be lots of washing as his bag only arrived on Thursday and today has been spent travelling home.

Dh is on PA tomorrow and I'm leading Kids Klub. We shall be going to the park for an hour or so.

    Best go wash up.

Also must think re September meal plan. How to bulk it all out without using grains... Will prob have to shop more frequently due to minimal storage, so can probably just double up the quantities. Thinking of feeding them tea and having in bfast stuff, but they do their own lunch.

    Washing up is calling...

Dh pointed out this morning that it was 2 years ago that he was made redundant. We were fortunate that it was only for 5 months. And we are still blessed in that he has survived a round of redundancies where he now works, and they seem to want to keep him. The mortgage is down 30k from when he started his 'new' job, just 20 months ago. Go us!

We plan to sit down later and 'discuss' house rules and numbers later. It'll probably be me saying what I've thought of, and dh either agreeing or moderating it!

Dh is off to get the bus to church, dd and I will follow in the car later. It looks like a gorgeously sunny day out there, so I'll be taking the Kids Klub kiddies to the park.

Dd is still snoozing so I shall pick my knitting up and get on with a monster's body.

3 monsters finished. That crafting total is rather healthy! Helped, in no small measure, by me being on holiday...

Dd is going to a morning session of a football academy tomorrow. She is well nervous, but I do not plan on staying to watch (doubt I'd be allowed to either). So, I'll have 2-2.5 hours to fill while she is there. Dh is letting us have the car so the world is my oyster...

Do I go for a swim in the pool about 1 mile up the road, then do a food shop at liddle on the way back?

Do I just do the food shop then bring it home and do a workout then fetch dd?

Do I head off 3+ miles the other way to drop a bag at the Sally Army?

Do I head to my aldee instead, as I know where everything is there?

Do I just come home and read/knit/drink coffee?

Decisons, decisions. Food shop is a must, and will be much easier with the car and without dd. Now, where to do it... All depends on if I want to swim...

    I shall decide tomorrow.

Left a happy dd at football - the only girl!

Went for a swim, handed over my card, and I got in for free. Not quibbling. I did about 15 mins of non-stop up and down swimming, which was enough for now.

Then decided to go to aldee where I spent £47.85 and got 58 items! All bar 4 were on my list. Not a lot of 'expensive' items bought this week, ie no chicken or cheese or mince. But I still got 2 dozen eggs and salmon. and 8(!) tins of tinned fish! Loads of veg (10 items), plenty of dairy. Very satisfying.

We go away on Sat, but the 'kids' can eat up what is left when we go. Knowing that they are going to be around a lot of the time is certainly making me appreciate the tranquility of being on my own at the mo...

Another 10 mins then I'd best fetch dd! The luxury of having a car! It would be simple to do on the bus - or even walk - now I know where it is.

We have tresemme'd (sp?!) dd's hair tonight with *shhhhh* some of the gf's conditioner. The tangles were getting ridiculous and beyond the capabilities of even the tangle teaser. Daddy brushed it for her afterwards, then I gave it all a 1cm (ish) trim.

Hmmm, must work out what to call the gf, as she's certainly not my gf. And gf tends to mean gluten-free on here. Maybe she can stay as 'the gf' for now.

Made it to the library this afternoon and dd signed up for the book trail. They only have to read 6 books this year - any 6 at all! She has since finished one and plans to do another tomorrow morning, then we'll have to go back to the library.

Although pooped from football, walking, trampolining, running around outside, she still didn't go to sleep any earlier...! However, she is asleep now, so I shall go and try to prise a number out of dh :rotfl::rotfl:
