Wow, this thread has certainly take off! lol
Not to join in too much with the discussion regarding direct marketing etc, but I won't be contacting anyone who posts on the forum or PM's me a direct message.
We live in Nottingham and it is a private home built in the 50's, not concrete, and not in a deprived area also, although the Bulwell area has had millions of pounds thrown at it to put EWI on hundreds of houses, at no cost to the tenants.
Like post 2 says, it seems it isn't worth getting it done if you pay yourself for it because it would take several years to get your money back, and we can't say we'll still be in the house in 10 years time anyway, so it seems like we'll just have to leave the heating on for longer and use more gas to heat the house.0 -
Also consider the effect it would have when you sell the house because that should be taken into account when the sums are done. It adds value to your home which is not going to disappear.
If you can get help with the cost then overall the deal is far more attractive.0 -

- then why are you here on a site costing multi mi££ions punting for business without permission from this site ?never ripped anybody off
- if someone infiltrated your online-investment URL to line their pockets that would be immoral wouldn't it ?
- and yet you call it fair to steal online advertising, leads and profits from an MSE investment
- many of the MSE client base are old, infirm and vulnerable and need protection from direct sellers such as yourself
- I think I've established your purpose here was not happenstance, but was to make money from the MSE client baseYes I do make money but I make it in a ethical way, so is that such a bad thing ?
- I think I've established your advertising for business, referring people to your own business here is unethical
- I think I've established your purpose here was not to help & inform but gratuitously targeted, a money grabbing exercise
- in this thread, and in your first # you ;don't just presume I'm bad due to the actions of a minority
- - (1) stated your company title so people could google you
- - (2) posted a referral URL direct to your site in you profile page
- - (3) stated a "we get hold of ECO Funding and we install EWI" spam advert
- - (4) encouraged contacts from anyone "within 70 miles of Birmingham" to get in touch with you
#8 "its not spam" ! .. .. .. then what do the above 4 lines suggest to you. Every word you have written is either marketing spiel and further defence of your marketing spiel. If you are indeed not only here to make money and intend to give help and advice you have not yet done so. You have, as yet, given no advice or help to the membership base of MSE. I look forward to your offer of helpful information only that will help readers.
Meanwhile, to others reading this - this is direct marketing, taking money making leads from MSE users. Its a very bad idea to make contact with strangers over the internet and give them private details, addresses and telephone numbers. Be careful, protect yourself, do not give personal details to anyone you do not know particularly if the come here looking for business. Anyone who has already made contact with 'mnkymartin' or is thinking of doing so should contact the MSE team - you can make contact via the big black "how to contact us" box at the TRHS of this page.Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. I try to be an even-handed poster and accept that you at times may not agree with these opinions or how I choose to express them, this is not my problem. Sorry Richie for the delay but I was cooking the dinner lol
Obviously your intent on making me out to be some sort of conman that needs to be kept away from the old and vunerable.
Its a shame that you want to portray me in this light, especially as your assumptions could not be further from the truth.
back to the original post, ECO funding is the way to go if you want to save yourself some money on a EWI install, there are plenty of companies out there who will be able to offer this and not all are conmen as Richie suggests, I think I will leave it that, thankyou.0 -

The problem you have is as a new user, your first post was actively promoting your company. This is what has prompted a reaction from Richie. If you want to talk on MSE as a company you need to get permission from the MSE forum team.0
