4 months to plan a wedding....

Mine took two weeks to plan, right after we had decided to get married, and we were married 6 weeks later. Gretna, ebay (perfect dress, £56) flowers from the garden, suit already owned, no fuss. It was perfect.0

Sounds like ours, we were married in Gretna too and my dress was off eBay!0 -
My daughter's wedding was planned in 3 months. The one thing that made it all easier was to move away from a Saturday. Everything is more available on weekday. No one invited declined because of this. Booked the church, meal at local pub, used local shops for for cake and desserts for evening do in the garden and savoury platters from Sainsburys.Flowers from the garden, would have gone it Tesco for flowers otherwise. Last but by no means least the most unusual fabulous wedding dress off the sale rail as there was not enough time to have one made. Shoes and underwear from BHS. Bridesmaid dress from monsoon.
She looked beautiful and all went off very well.
And me, perhaps not the smallest wedding ever but close, a registry office with 5 guests followed by fab meal at renowned hotel. All arranged within a month. This was just over 3 years ago.0 -
I'd forget the 'fake' flowers, and opt for a crystal bouquet (like I did).
Something different!
For example:

Search 'crystal bouquet' on ebay for some other ideas
Just bear in mind, something cream/white won't show up very well with a cream/white dress (learnt that lesson lol). A colour would be nice, or a coloured dress with a crystal or cream/white bouquet
(Going to be selling a gorgeous Monsoon slinky wedding dress, size 18, new (with tags I think/hope!) if she's interested
Jx2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0 -
Did mine in a week! Special licence, small do at local hotel, proper wedding cake etc - family and close friends only. No I wasn't pregnant, nor did OH need a visa. We decided time was right that's all. 4 months is a luxury!:rotfl:0
