Injury at work

I have a friend (yes actually a friend not me!) who was very recently injured at work. She doesn't know where to start because the TV is full of adverts about personal injury and doesn't want to get ripped off. Does anyone have any advice regarding this or could anyone recommend a good company?

Who's fault was the accident? Was the company negligent? Has your friend suffered any losses due to this accident?Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0

Was it reported and logged?0

Most of the tv adverts are actually agents who put you in touch with a solicitor and then take a finders fee so I'd avoid them.
Your friend needs to make sure the incident is logged with both the doctor and employer, and keep a record of treatment and losses.
You should look for someone local who is a specialist in workplace accidents, and make sure before you sign anything that it's fee free, because many are not.0 -
It was due to the workplace being negligent. It was logged in the accident book thing. Does she need something in writing from a doctor?Hi. I don't know if she has suffered any losses or not I'm afraid but I will find out. I assume so because there's not much point seeking legal action if no losses have occurred. Unless being in pain counts as a loss. I don't know anything about this sort of thing!Hi. I'm a Board Guide on the Gaming, Consumer Rights, Ebay and Praise/Vent boards. Sounds like if you don't know you'll only confuse the matter...best let her get on with what she wishes to do.Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0

If she just simply has a bruise then no there is no claim to be made, but if she has a significant injury that's causing pain, and may well affect her him the future then yes there is a valid reason to claim.
There is no point in fabricating a claim because they put you through all sorts of medical assessments and experts before they value your claim so it has to be a genuine injury.
If she does have a significant injury, then there will already be doctors notes/hospital records to start the process rolling.
If there isn't, then perhaps there is no grounds for a claim?
I hope your friend feels better soon, and gets the help/support she needs and I hope she isn't too badly injured x0 -
Sorry I don't know a lot about it I've only just found out today and I'm at work so not had chance to have a proper chat.
Don't worry if there is nothing to genuinely claim about no claim will occur.
Thanks for all the advice so far I know it's hard to help without details
