wolf is right - I have been mentally writing 'posts' that say 'whatever you do she is going to be hurt'!
because that is what she lives for! hun - my MIL spent her whole life being 'hurt'! I cannot count how many times she said that to me! yet her husband and her sons treated her like a queen!
yet she loved being seen as 'poor Agnes'! I can only think it made her feel 'special' and the centre of attention! which she loved while trying to appear quiet and self-effacing. Made me bluddy furious that she would complain my OH neglected her - while he went down every day to see her - listened to her complaints, did her 'odd jobs' and I also went every day more or less if son wasn't in hospital. so did her other sons - but if you listened to 'poor Agnes' we all neglected her!
