Ex not turning up for son!

I think in the USA they call them "dead beat" dads. If they sterilised your ex-partner and confiscated his passport maybe that would wake him up to the fact that he brought a child into the world and is a father.

As I say, ladies if your current fella does not give a toss about kids he has with an ex-partner don't be surprised if in the future he does not give a toss about any kids he has with you.

I guess me being a new dad for 8 months makes me feel strongly on this issue. I look forward to getting home from work so I can see the little mans cheeky smile.

In some ways I wish I could turn back the clock but then I wouldn't have my wonderful little man. I have been on my own now for a while and although its hard work and can be pretty lonely at times I am not quick to enter a new relationship whatever the circumstances.

I have tried every single possible angle to make him see sense and see the little man on a regular basis but he is only interested in slagging me off and letting me know how inadequate I am. AFTER FOUR YEARS EEK!!

I have posted on this subject ever since I joined the forum and still no solution to the problem.

We not all like that:) just to restore a little faith, 2 kids with two exes, two step kids with one of them, pay over and above what I know I am liable for, see them at times that work around their mums work, I am self employed so I can.
Any time they phone I answer too !

Thanks for your tuppence. Hell I hope I don't come across as a man hater or that ALL dads are useless because I know they are not. I just feel like crusading for against those who completely walk away and do not give a toss. It affects the little one and I feel its my duty to do something about it.

My ex use to see his other kids so i hard no worries when it came to that.Its just happened since we split.

My husband is great with my son treats him as his own and couldn't ask for anyone better so your right not all men are bad.

Hi there everyone
Just to let you know that my sons dad did not turn up this sunday and we had no phone call again.
We decided to take him out and had mcdonalds and he spent some of his pennies he'd been saving.
We had a nice day but he did ask if he could ring his dad last nite but it was bed time and i didnt want him upset so left it but if he asks today after schl then i shall let him even though he wont answer the phone at least hes been given the chance.

Sorry to hear he didnt turn up.........but I guess you can now plan your weekend around your son. Doesnt sound like your son minded too much either, which must have been a blessing for you. Children need stability and not some one who comes and goes when they feel like it.
