No signal on Sky utv

Certainly take the card out and put it back in, but you might have a weak signal, which could be affected by the poor weather - rain or snow is harder for the signal to get through (from space remember!) and wind could misalign your dish. If you're in NI you've had plenty of wind and rain recently! Make sure the dish is secure and aligned properly, all cabling is in good condition (especially into the back of the box as it can come loose easily) and check your signal strength if the channels do come back.0

This is driving me mad, all day today UTV on channel 103 was working well, now when I sit down to watch TV, 103 is coming up no signal, or when the signal appears, blocking and pixelating, ITV3,ITV2 +1, and ITV3+1 no signal. ITV2 ok. Could it be the box, or is it ITV network?Just checked signal quality on ITV 3 and signal strength is good quality is below half.
Many thanks.0 -

Have you perhaps checked if any neighbours or friends are experiencing the same problems? If they have, that will eliminate problems with your equipment?0 -

Refer please to my reply in the other thread which I quote below.davemurgatroyd wrote: »If you are not receiving full (or any) EPG listings or all channels then it is down to one of four things
1 Badly aligned dish (most likely)
2 Faulty digibox - you do not state a make or model (printed on back panel - Pace, Samsung, Thomson, Amstrad or Sky) which is essential info with this sort of query
3 Faulty lnb (bit in front of dish) or cabling
4 Interference either RF into cabling/box or microwave.
You need diagnosis of your problem - trying another known working box on your system and your box on a known working dish connection.0 -

As you say, it's an equipment problem which can only be properly diagnosed by someone at the scene rather than an internet forum.0 -
I thank you all for ur input and I agree that it is hard to diagnose, I was just wondering if anyone else had had similar problems.. The make of the box is Sky, that's what's on the back. There are some people who have had problems on the Northern Ireland forum regarding UTV hd appearing on channel 103 and others still with the "normal" UTV on 103.. this is why I wondered if it was a UTV signal issue. And why it works during the day.. Maybe it's scared of the dark lol, Seems strange that other channels are working, but hey nought as queer as technology.. Thank you again. I will prob go back to sky again but nt hopeful that they can sort it out.. The box is only in about 2 years.0
