  • 'Well I should put it towards chrismas gifts, but I would put it towards tickets for me and my sister to see 'We Will Rock You' in London I have seen it twice and would love to treat my sister and tickets are 2for1 at the moment.

I'd use it to buy three memory foam mattress toppers for my family! I can't afford three whole ones, but a topper should still be comfier than the old lumpy things we're sleeping on just now :D

I think I'd use it towards christmas pressies for my family.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I would buy some extra presents for everybody. We are thrifty with our budget and times are still quite hard so everyone pretty much knows what they are getting. I would buy decent little surprises.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.
  • I would put it towards my next holiday. I usually am a real stickler for our budget when we are on holiday so it would allow for a couple of little treats we wouldn't otherwise have.
  • Half to squander on Christmas ;)

and half to the Philippines appeal :)
The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter :(

Great replies everyone, keep them coming!

Those of you who'd use it to pay your bills or food shopping, is that because things are tight and you have to or are things ok and you just want to, to save?

Our twitter followers are saying similar

myself, because bills are the immediate need. The boiler is something we knew about, but were hoping to get another year out of, and with other unexpected expenses, such as my crown, it makes more sense to use any extra money to pay these things first and then, in a couple of months, if things settle down, maybe buy a nice pair of jeans.

But, bills are the must, jeans are the "I would like" and Musts come first.

I would have a night away in the Lake District with my husband to thank him for being so understanding about the amount of time I spend comping.
