I've had this reply today in response to my email asking about further vouchers:
Thank you for your email regarding your My John Lewis free hot drink and cake vouchers.
Regrettably this month our teams have been running later than expected with the posting of the new vouchers. We are expecting that all customers who are due new vouchers for the month of August to have received these by the end of this week. Should you not have received your vouchers by the 11 August, please let us know. Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience this delay may have caused.0 -

It's always civil in the Newcastle store when people have been getting their free cake and hot drinks. Well, when I'm in there getting mine, it is.0

I've bought a few things instore in the past few months- I had my birthday and spent a lot on the make-up and beauty department, bought an ironing board a month later and I also bought from the sale. I've had no vouchers at all. I did remember to use my JL card throughout which is not something I generally remember to do every time as they don't tend to prompt you.0 -

I've generally visited London Oxford Street Place to Eat and not noticed incivility. Of course, it is poor behaviour which stands out when it does happen and that is what is remembered.
Only example of complaining I've witnessed was done in such a way that it wasn't immediately evident that it was a complaint!0 -
What happens now my 6 free drink and cake vouchers for John Lewis ave been used? Do you get more?
I have really enjoyed the treat. Thankyou.:T0 -
Neither I or my wife have received new vouchers after our previous ones ran out in July. I sent an email to John Lewis and this is their response…
"As part of being a member of my John Lewis it helps us identify what you like as a valuable customer. We can then give you the previews, exclusives and rewards that are just right for you. This means that not all members will receive the same previews, exclusives or rewards each time, as they are unique to every member. In view of this, we do not promise or imply that these vouchers are sent out as a permanent offer."
So it looks like not everyone gets the vouchers.0 -
The vouchers aren't being withdrawn, they're just not being advertised any longer because the catering department can't continue the way it has been since the vouchers were introduced. Most of the machinery behind the scenes is breaking down under the strain. It's going to cost more money to fix than the vouchers will have brought in.
I don't understand how a member of staff in the catering department can reasonably comment on the increase in revenue to John Lewis as a result of the vouchers.
A family member is in the process of ordering a kitchen. It has not been finalised yet but once the styles and features have been agreed upon, JL will get her business. She went in for a free cake and coffee with my sister and didn't even know they did kitchens. It was her first visit to JL.
She certainly wouldn't have needed to make the catering staff aware of her pending kitchen order. It wouldn't be so bad if all customers were pleasant but most of the time they're horrible because they've had to wait (nothing we can do about that when there's no extra money coming in for extra staff). If you treat the partner who serves you nicely then thank you, you are a wonderful exception and it will have been appreciated
Which area are you in, out of interest? I've visited JL in Solihull and Leicester and have only ever seen pleasant and satisfied customers and staff.0 -
Sad to say that I got a similar email as well today:

At John Lewis we value our loyal customers tremendously and we do hope you have enjoyed the benefits of receiving the free cake and coffee vouchers you have received so far."
So it looks like I won't be getting any more now0 -
