It's free with the free cake and drink voucher - always taste better when you don't have to pay for it!
Very true but I will not be near a John Lewis until the end of July or beginning of August as there are no stores here in Ireland - north or south. Oh, I will just have to wait and see/taste for myself - must add it to my holiday list - afternoon tea in John Lewis with carrot cake!! :eek:0 -
Ditto!
Response thus far:
You will have a new set of vouchers sent out to you in time for them starting in May and this will automatically continue as long as your membership is active.
Have asked them to define 'active'.
I got the same reply today as well, oh well my diet is out of the window, love it :j0 -

They might, for example, then decide to introduce a minimum number of purchases per X months.....0 -
Is that wise? Do you want o force them into making a decision about 'active' which they may not have yet made?

Agreed. I don't know why it was necessary to ask them to define active. It's just cake and coffee, you'd think they're giving away gold bullion by how seriously some people are taking it.
Was it asking too much to wait a couple of weeks to see what comes through the post? We're already in April and their response says the vouchers will be sent in time for use in May...0 -
Further to my last post - I asked JL: I buy products from John Lewis every one or two months is this enough to keep my card active. How is active defined in this case?
Response:
The my John Lewis membership does not have an expiry date, you will be able to take advantage of all benefits for the lifetime of the membership irregardless of how much you spend.
I'm sure I'm not the only one to have queried the meaning of 'active', and I'm sure their business team have thought of the many scenarios which may or may not work for them.Free thinker.:cool:0 -

Calm down!;) It's just a talking point - I don't think people are taking it that seriously. However, for some on a low/no income, it may as well be gold bullion (although, I think Max Keiser would suggest silver bullion).;)Free thinker.:cool:0 -
Mine arrived today, looking forward to using the first one next weekSaving for Christmas 2017 £120/£400 :beer:0

Excellent, thanks - I guess it's actually pretty money saving overall as I don't have hot chocolate that often... I'm not a coffee / tea guzzler like my mum & sister!
Even more so if it's free & comes with cake0
