It's free with the free cake and drink voucher - always taste better when you don't have to pay for it!

Ahem. The sheer calorific overload of the three-layer chocolate torte and hot chocolate with marshmallows I had today, is going to have some sort of cost that's for sure...

I used mine in West Quay this month, I went to the cafe on the top level (the one that's like a food hall) if that helps :)

    It does, thank you.

Like many on here I signed up for the My John Lewis card when it first became available and I have enjoyed a free coffee and cake for each of the past six months.

The last voucher was April and I was expecting to be sent a new bundle of vouchers for May onwards but to date nothing has come.

Looking at the John Lewis site I can see no mention that the free coffee and cake vouchers are renewed after the first ones have been sent, though to me the way it is written does imply that the offer is ongoing.

Has anyone received a new set of vouchers, or does anyone know if in fact we will be sent new vouchers once the first six have been used?.

    Thanks
    Waddle you do eh?

Have you also enjoyed spending your money at JL and presented your card at the same time?

If some of us get replacement vouchers and others do not, it would be interesting to know what level of spend (say average/month) triggered the issuing of fresh vouchers.
  • When you purchase in store and show the card points are built up to then re-issue you with more free hot drink/cake vouchers
I asked in store last week as mine have come to an end

Shame they don't issue points in the cafe too. I spend more regularly there than in the main store or online.

If that is the case it would have made sense to spell this out from the start.
There is no mention of this on the My John Lewis section?.

I also can't find any mention of earning points on their website so god knows how we're supposed to know how many points we've earned, or how to earn more, or how many points a free coffee/cake actually costs?!

I don't believe you actually "earn" points. It is more a case of JL obtaining data about what you buy & presumably sending appropriate mailings out.

My husband has only recently applied for a JL card and this is the quote from email received with info. about card

"To make the most of your membership, show your
my John Lewis card or membership number
whenever you make a purchase in store. And
when shopping online, make sure you're logged
into johnlewis.com with this email address."
So when shopping online you just need to be logged in with the same email address as you use to receive emails from JL.
