my mum went to jl to buy a phone she got ask if she had myjohnlewis card
she said at home with coffee n cake vouchers, anyway to cut long story short mum was told if she didnt use card when buying other stuff in john lewis she might not get anymore coffee n cake vchrs
how true this is just what we were told

I got told the same but the cashier didn't know the cut off point as to how much we have to spend in JL and have the card swiped for the purchase for the vouchers to be reissued.

Resolved now that the only way forward is not to buy them in the first place.


I have the JL card and a few free coffee&cake vouchers, but un/fortunately I have not been anywhere near the JL store when the cafe is opened, so I have not been able to use them - yet.
Don't know if I will be relieved or cross if/when I ever do get to JL caf! and they refuse to accept the vouchers I have.

Warning - you can only use the vouchers in the appropriate month - I don't have a JL nearby and when I was near one I had hoped I could use both Jan & Feb vouchers but not allowed.

I've seen people using the previous month's vouchers in my store.

The Carrot cake is scrummy i had it last month

I used my March voucher today and had Tea and a Fruit scone which was lovely

I love the fact as well that you get a pot of tea so you can have 2 cups so i guess if you were going as a couple you could try and be cheeky and ask for a spare cup and split the pot between you and then share a cake (although that would never happen with me as i don't share cake lol)

Perhaps the issue was using both vouchers from January and Feb. and one being well out of date.
I almost forgot to us my Feb voucher and I wasn't alone - there was a queue of us at 16:00ish on 28/2.

Yes, I've seen people handing over two different coloured vouchers at a time.


There's always people in front of me and behind me using coupons whenever I go in.

I love visiting John Lewis when I am visiting the UK mainland. Does anyone know if hubby or I could get one of these cards although it would only be used once a year?
