Slipped in supermarket

..you were so blinded by greed and self-interest, you took no action to prevent these consequences occurring to others.
I don't want to labour my point but I can't help but agree. In post #3 the OP makes it abundantly clear what she's after ("obviously some kind of compensation would be nice, or some vouchers...". Hmm, 'obviously' indeed). There's a half-hearted attempt later on to show concern for others (the elderly) but if this really were the motivation behind complaining, then a word to shop staff at the time pointing out that the snowflakes could be a trip hazard would have done the trick."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
I hope you take more notice when carrying your baby than you do when carrying shopping.
Unbelievable.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -

also post#17 "We do live in a culture of "where there's blame, there's a claim" and it was completely their fault." it seems she is after as much as she can get for no injury0 -

I wouldn't embarrass myself by sending a letter full of "could haves" and "might have dones". To be blunt, you're wasting people's time sending a complaint to the supermarket admin.
You fell over, you don't need physio, you don't need time off work, you don't spend sleepless nights in agony, you didn't endure a life-changing injury (thank goodness). Why on earth do you think you're "due" something?!
Can't you just endure a split-second deflated ego in public, a wee bump to your arm, and be thankful for that?
Playing the victim, when nothing truly bad has happened, is exasperating to read. What does that teach your young child? What about personal pride?
PS: Yep, as fluffnutter pointed out, I'd have went back into the store the moment I tripped over and warned staff, in case others had an accident. Then I'd have promptly went about my way and forgotten about it.0 -
I was cleaning a food processor yesterday and I cut my finger on the blade. Can I sue kitchenaid for making sharp blades?
I also almost slipped over on a leaf in the woods this morning. Can I sue God, because I could have been pregnant or elderly.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -
I read b3ta.com quite regularly, and a while back they had posts about Angry From Norwich types who made a hobby out of complaining to big companies. (To be fair, most of them doing it knew they were taking the Michael).
One guy vented his anger about finding a few burnt Rice Krispies in his breakfast cereal that morning. He got a speedy reply from Kellogg's in the post, a week later.
"Great, he thought, a few vouchers, maybe even a free packet of cereal for my trouble".
He tore open the envelope. There was a letter with a polite, sincere apology from the Kellogg's UK offices. But...no vouchers! No cheque!
There was also a Compliments Slip. Stapled to it was...an (unburnt) Rice Krispie.0 -
Perhaps the compo will be a lifetime supply of cotton wool0

You can't claim for something that could happen. You were no longer pregnant at the time of the fall so the fact you have recently given birth is completely irrelevant and just makes you come across as a drama queen. I'm assuming you are not an elderly person so again irrelevant. If this had actually been your concern you would have reported it at the time to prevent someone else slipping (which could have been an actual pregnant or elderly person).2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

Ugh what do ppl say??? It's because of folk like that that packets or paracetamol says 'contains paracetamol' etc etc.
All these times I've slipped, all these times I could have been preggers/old etc. Am I missing out on millions here???
Seriously, it was an unfortunate accident, take care in future.0 -
I don't think the OP got the replies she expected/hoped for.
That, or it was a troll post.0
