Hi JohnG,
Can you tell is where this information came from.
I think you can spend your credit limit many times over during the 3 months.
i.e. you can pay it off and spend it again as many times as you like during the 3 months.
please can you clarify where your information came from.
I'm not aware of any limit (apart from what you can spend in practice).
Hi lisyloo, I was based my assumption on the limit which is set by the credit card company which I understand to be the maximum amount that they will allow you to have outstanding but obviously if each month the amount is paid off in full, as we would all hope, then this maximum cash back can be gained every month.
Sorry if I wasn't clear or caused any confusion0 -

Or as many times as you wish if you clear the balance before the statement arrives.

There's little mention of the Barclaycard 2% (supermarket & petrol) cashback card here and nothing about it in Martin's article. Am I missing something?
I have spouted on about this card as well, and I am surprised it is not mentioned more often.
My first bill is in, and the cashback is awarded each month.
1.5% on Supermarket and Petrol
0.5% on the total bill
Which balances out to 2% on all Petrol and Supermarkets, and as a lot can be bought from supermarkets now, thats almost a permanent 2%, beating the Capital One card (which I also have) once the 3 month period is up.Sam:happylove0 -

Yep, seems like a good long-term option to me.0 -

Hi John,
I think you can pay down your credit limit and use it as many times as like, not just once a month.
The limit is the amount you can have at any one time and not per month, so you could (in theory) use that amount every day and pay it off every day (subject to payment clearance of course).
I am not aware of any limit.0 -
If I pay my bank loan off using my capital one card with 4% Cash back is this classed as a balance transfer (as its not paying a card off) or will I be charged ???0

Hi!
I applied on-line for Capital One card with 4% cashback and was rejected despite having very good credit history. I wrote to their appeals department and then received an application form for the said card!
So just incase anyone got rejected with good credit history it might be worth dropping a line to their Appeals Department!0 -
A must purchase in early Nov if you're coming to the end of your 4% deal with Capital One (or getting 5% with Abbey) is the ASDA Christmas Savings card
see
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/extra-christmas-cash
"Asda’s Christmas Savings Card is one of the easiest to operate as it’s an electronic scheme. Simply pick up a card in store and pay into the account at any till.
On 20 Nov, those with £49 to £96 get £1 bonus; those with £97 to £143 gain £3; and those with £144 get £6. There’s no limit to the amount of cards you can have so simply load up in denominations of £144, by 19 Nov at the latest, to max out the bonus."0 -
I notcie somebody said they had been turned down despite a good credit rating. On the radio last night they mentioned that one provider (not Capital One) was currently turning down 50% of applicants.
A tip I was told a while back which may (or may not) help is, when asked for an email address do not use a generic email address (e.g. hotmail, yahoo, gmail etc.) ... try to use a 'traceable' email address.
