In my town we have a dual carriageway (2 lanes either way with a metal barrier in the middle).
The sign says 50 and I abide by that. I'm wondering whether it should actually be 60?0 -
The national speed limit (ie 70 for cars or 60 for vans on a dual carriageway) is just the default limit in the absence of a specific limit for that road. The council or the Highways Agency can choose to set a lower limit for individual roads if they see fit - and they obviously did.0

No, it's 50mph. If look at the highway code it says "unless signs say otherwise". I have a similar one near me - dual carriageway that is 30mph limit.0 -
How long after the 'offence' did you receive the nip?0
