Suppose its just a matter of what you buy though, Ive got stuff in my flat I bought from argos almost 20 years ago and its still going strong, having said that, never really bought anything for the house from home bargains.
  • The one near me is very good for toiletries like shampoo, bubble bath, toothpaste(£1.00) and cheap toothbushes. Also things like headache tablets are cheap, I got some Ibuprofen for 29p which is good.
Also you can get 6 bird seed balls for 49p and a big bag of bird seed for a £1.00. I havent had the food as I tend to eat mainly fruit and vegetables(fresh) and they dont sell those. Its mainly packets and tins etc.
I dont drink either but the alcohol is cheaply priced as are the crisps. they also do nice crisps like kettle chips which are about a £1.00 for a big bag. Gardening things are cheap, I got a garden rake for £2.00 and a very thick pair of gardening gloves for £1.99. This is really good in my opinion.

  • We're lucky as we have a HB, Aldi and Morrison's next to each other,so I shop in all 3. I really rate Home Bargains, this week I bought bargain cards and wrapping paper, a lovely pair of real leather gloves for £3.99 and a fab pair of rose covered ladies pyjamas for £7.99. I've had many good buys and buy my fresh food from the Aldi next door.

I think they have become to successful.
When they had less stores they could get supermarkets overs to fill up a store.
Now they are bigger they have to manufacture items to fill there stores.
  • I have subscribed to the Home Bargains thread on the Grabbit forum so that I don't miss out.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I've moved across the country and my nearest HB is 100 mile round trip.

Didn't realise how much I bought there until I started having to buy loo roll, kitchen towels, cleaning products, wipes and toiletries in other shops.

Other shops just dont have HB prices- there is no loo roll I've found anywhere of Nicky quality @ HB Nicky prices and believe me, I've looked all round here.
