naw - you sandwich two together with the chocolate in the middle - that way your fingers don't get all chocolatey! even less messy then when you dunk them!0

I had this same conversation with a friend many years ago - I always eat them chocolate down, he ate them chocolate up. We had a ridiculously heated debate over it, so in the end we wrote to the biscuit company to get the definitive answer! They said that during manufacture, the biscuit is held and dunked into the chocolate (ie. rather than having chocolate poured onto the biscuit) and so therefore they should be eaten chocolate down as then they were the right way up

Therefore, I was right - and boy, did I milk that one for years!
