Wow, that is quick indeed
He's a good sort - expenses emailed at 12.34 - in the bank by 3.14 with an apology for taking so long!
If only the wages worked quite as quickly.
So normally I use the expenses money to tide me over til the wages clear. This is why the cc has crept up.
This month I'm trying to have some 'wages' reserves balancing this.
:rotfl: well that's the theory.
Not of course that I practice any theory.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Hello there!
I only follow a few diaries, but I always look in on yours.
I like hearing about life in the far north - I've been working on my family tree and discovered one of my great grand mothers was from Tain, which I believe isn't too far from Inverness. So I have some far north blood which I was rather excited about!
I did manage to visit Tain a couple of years ago on a round Britain cruise. We were also due to visit Kirkwall on the same cruise, but that port was abandoned due to poor weather conditions.
I expect that happens a lot up your way!
Anyway, will continue to read with interest, and hope you achieve your aims:)Early retired - 18th December 2014
If your dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough0 -
Hey there Goldie girl - how lovely to 'meet' you on here.
I've rellies in the north of Scotland too (although I'm from central Scotland) my dad's side come from Wick. A wee bit down from Tain. One of my best pals comes from Tain - its gorgeous - WHAT A BEACH.
Thank you for the kind wishes, 7k in 7 (ish) months - surely I'll make some in roads into it. I hope!
Lovely to see you pop in, don't be a stranger.
Beanie - um, overdrafts (of which I have two) are well used in this house.
And in most excellent news - the wages landed as if by magic in my post box today.
Tomorrow I head to the bank.
Tonight I'm crackered, just in from a cooking workshop, which was great and some fab ideas shared.
Did you know if you grate cheese before you freeze it, no crumbly.
And of course milk freezes OK.
Tired, tea is a cooking, meat balls are of the lazy variety - they've slumped into bolognese.
I blame the lazy chef.
Aside work spends, a NSD
Meals from stores.
AND scored 12 free eggs.
and some tiffin'y type thing that we made at the cooking workshop. Whilst I don't like it, Mr RG loves it - so I'll hide it until xmas day when I can wow him with my blue peter, here's one I made for you earlier darling.
Off to see if the online bank actually likes me today.
And put on some pasta, which I'm hoping fills some empty tummy'sTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Well first I giggled because for some reason any cheese conversation with you makes me laugh!:rotfl:
...and then I thought - what a great tip & another good reason to buy some more of those red stickered blocks!!!
...but then again my freezer is bursting - too many deals - too many containers of batch cooking - and way way too much cheese!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
(OH asked me to tell you not only did he make dinner tonight - it was all from the stores! - quite scrummy - one of Jaim£'s 15 minute meals! )4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Tiffin :j:j:j and slumping meatballs, come to that :rotfl:
I think I'm not very kind to my freezer - over the autumn, it was stuffed full with all sorts, and it was so *loud*, that when I eventually sat down to watch tv, I had to shut the door to the kitchen, and even then I had to turn the sound up on the tv:rotfl: which sounds silly, but true, honest. I've unpacked it quite a lot since, and its normal again, so I don't have to faff around closing that door any more (my radiators are odd right now - its actually warmer in the kitchen, and I like the illusion of space anyway).
Hope today isn't too tiring.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Morning all - catch up in a moment or two - its a paperwork mainly from home day today. Then to the library for some printing and bank to put in that cheque.
Hope you're all good - most excellent freezer chat and of course cheese chats always welcomed.
Hey up RT - tips hat at Mr RT too- cheese makes anyone giggle. In exciting news I got given (I did forget) some sweet cheese from Norway yesterday, its almost a nutty brown colour. I need to google this to find out more about it.
Squally haily showers between sunshine, quite an odd day - I'm sure a scamp on the beach would be an idea with a decent hat should the hail strike.
Thanks for popping by KC hope your freezer is friendlier from now on - didn't sleep well (man in my bed, (odd) and hail).
Thanks for the recipe Greying that's one sure to use when the forests have been planted!!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

I can make Pippi go green again - but with envy this time....the bottom two shelves of our fridge are FULL of cheese - and we paid no more than about £20 for the whole lot! :rotfl: Good Food Show bargains from Sunday - they auction off all the "spare" stuff from the World Cheese Awards at the end of the show so if you are in the right place, at the right time, you can score some bargains. several hard ones with nice long dates, several squishy ones which are already doing their level best to escape from the fridge, and a few intermediate ones which I'll probably cook with. Yum! Also got FIVE big lumps of cheddar for £10 (this is an addition 10 to the £20 mentioned before) so will be grating a couple of those and stashing in a HUGE tub in the freezer!
Yum again to Norwegian cheese - MrRG been travelling again, has he?!
Hugs to all - hope things are good and GET THAT WAGES CHEQUE IN THE BANK!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
