So if a garage is offering "Servicing at £99 every year", then you expect them to keep that price the following year?
Yes, why would I not think that.

Take some action, then you will find out the answers from the proper authorities.
You could of course save yourself some times and do some research yourself on rulings that have already taken place.
    What action shall we take?

I'm going to have a cup of tea - here is real world, but please keep us updated with how you get on.

Unfortunately my statement date IS the 22nd so I've had no option of spending exactly my cashback amount between statement date and closure. Unless perhaps the cashback automatically reduces my final direct debit due on the 9th February.. however I doubt this will happen. So friends I will twiddle my thumbs and await the mysterious 'cheque' arrival at some point in the as-yet undetermined future :o

I'm making sure I spend any cashback due. I've used cashback cards for years and its always been credited to the account, never paid by cheque. Not saying you won't get a cheque but it wouldn't surprise if you have to chase them/wait several weeks.

I will like my cheque because i can get cashcack when spending it on another credit card and using the 100 to pay it off.

That's your choice and it's a perfectly valid point.
I'm sure you'll get it but I think it could take quite a few weeks - why would they hurry?
Personally it's not worth my time chasing them up and having it on my mental "to do" list for weeks for £1.

Your contract is based on the terms and conditions they sent to you (and you agreed to), not an advert.

Not according to my recent case with FOS. The advertising overruled the T&C as far as they were concerned.

Well as I suggested in post #126 it would be a good idea for those interested to do some research.
FOS test cases would be a fine place to start.

If someone wants to make headway, they'd be better off doing research than spending time posting on a forum - which they are perfectly entitled to do but it doesn't advance their cause one iota.

Most people on here will probably know this already, but I would advise checking your cashback amounts carefully, and doing your own calculations. I know I have reached the £100 mark, yet according to their calculations on my latest statement that arrived this morning, I haven't.

My cashback was £95.79 last month, not disputed. This month I spent £324.87 (which doesn't include products which were later refunded), of which 3% is £9.74, yet my statement says I have earned £3.74.

Of course, considering one purchase alone was £240 (£7.20 cashback), and refunds were minor (and the purchase and refund was on the same statement so they cancel each other out), it's obviously a mistake. The fact that they consider me to be £0.48 off the full £100 would bring a conspiracy theorist to think they are being sneaky, but regardless of the reason, I wouldn't want anyone to not notice if it has also happened to them.

They cunningly calculate the cashback as a running total which stops going up once you hit £100 then if you get some refunds these are deducted from the £100 and of course they pay out in £5 increments so potentially if your last transaction in the month was a £1 refund you would only get £95 cashback

I have a refund this month so need to respend that amount in the next 2 days to make sure I get the full £100. My annual spend is probably well over 3600 because of this to make sure I get the full cashback.
    I think....
