Day 30/31
Fleabay items entered... more quality items enterd and started having viewings more or less straight away. not putting them on for 99p... even if I do have to pay a percentage. im sure they will sell. eventually.
Any way day was bad, then good then bad... how sh@t is debt...never thought I would be feeling this way about it.... oh seems to think we were ok until I realise the damage we are actually in.
Quick thinking tonight and have taken on the task of getting us out of this mess. really not a happy bunny... when I go back to work next week ive got to go and pick up atleast 5 extra shifts this month to help us out... how bad is this, and probably the same next month. really not feeling the love... but I love my oh and its our mess not just his... wish he had told me earlier..
Does anyone know how to use music magpie, need to get rid of bulk cd's and dvd's.0 -
day 31/31
Glad to see todays date. Be glad to see the back of January. What a bad month financially, also medically.. Time to draw a line put it behind me and move on...
I've found a site for books, dvds and cds,, gave it a try and added a few bar codes last night just to see what they actually offer, not a lot.. then I put same item into ebay search,, still not much more and quite a bit of effort. Decisions,, which would you do? A good clear out? But not a big return or effort to make a few more pence?? I guess the putting in the time & effort would bring more of a return..
I have a old diamond ring old family hand me down , I've never worn it, what do I do with it, lost a bit of its gold from the shoulders of the ring.. don't know what carot it is, or if its worth selling, pawning or mending, what do you sujest? I wouldn't miss it...
Needing my fleabay to return me a income this month.
Will pick up extra shifts when I'm bk at work next week.
Going to eat from the freezer until empty, needs defrosting.
Take advantage of free dinner at work, pick long days up,
Will earn extra money on long days and get fed, skin flint mode.
Not putting the heating on in the day time,
Cut down on using the dishwasher, washer & dryer.
All these mse things to put into place. 28 days will make all the difference. So here's to February, the first month of our financial mayhem. I vow to myself that this temporary down turn will not break us it will make us!
Mortgage paid today
that's a relief...
Oh phoned No.1 credit card yesterday, and told them the difficulties, he's got a set payment for the next 3 months.. so that's the next payment to find now. Pity its got to be paid before I get paid...
Gone now are the negative thoughts, along as come the positive thoughts. How we are going to get on top of this mess. Eventually the mess will become a orginised mess..
On a good note... beef slow cooked dinner smells lovely. Cheap meals here we come, that will feed us for two days at least..0 -
Half way through and the living room is now full of useless items to me but someone elses new items hopefully, having that right good clear out, my daughter has a idea how she can hopefully sell them all for me over the weekend.
So tea break over and back to sorting out and making money...0 -
Day 31/31
Today I have sorted out a joint bank account for the bills... that was easy... now the hard part starts....0 -
Hurry up february.0

Day 1/28
Good to write that. So positivity will be sprinkled over this month. Move on.
Already sold a item on fleabay, for £12.00 and £10.00 worth of old unwanted nic nacs on a selling page.. to go in my pot for February, still got some items on the selling page hopefully get rid over the weekend.
Going to enter some fleabay items later today ready to start my big sell on fleabay.
Looking at old style recipes, good wholesome food, cheap.
Sticking to list when I go to the shops this month, also eating from the cupboatd, 2 late shifts at work next week, so work will provide my tea, just take a sandwich with me before I start work from home.
Looking at 14 nsd this month,, my challenge to myself this month.
Budget for everything is really tight this month so will be juggling monthly payments for every bill going this month.
Oh is hoping to pick up a small evening job for about 3 months, I also will pick up extra shifts this month.. let's turn this around .. in 6 months I want to be a lot better off.
Still have loyalty beauty points left on my card, may just save as we have a good stock of toiletries at the moment, adpoints are adding up too, on it like a car bonnet....0 -
Day 1/28
So started the day off in a good way,, the sun is shining yet its blooming cold. not going out but I will send oh to shop soon for basics. bread and t bags... cant miss out on a good cuppa...
Ive sat and entered 10 items on my fleabay and im attracting a lot of interest no bids yet but a lot of lookers all ready.. that's positive..I have three items of clothing I think im going to iron then photograph and enter as a bundle.. hopefully might make a little bit than putting them on as single items... try that one... wont hurt if they don't sell.
Still got a lot of beef stew left from yesterday so that's tonights tea sorted. waste not want not... eating from the cupboards and the freezer from now on.. belt tightened.
Discussed with oh as a lot of the debt is his. that he will try and get a little pt job for a few hours over tea times/evenings. it will help us out a lot, hopefully clear his debts sooner. so im glad he is helping with the situation, and he said he was going to cut up the credit cards.. good.
positive steps.... I will pick up shifts when I can at work.....
So off for a shower now.. catch up later.. mse smile... xx.0 -
Just found your diary and read from the start. What a roller coaster you've been on. I think you're doing brilliantly but you might want to consider an soa. I think your insurance is a bit high but why not check out comparison sites. If you switch, one even gives a very ebay able free meerkat toy. I know you now have a joint account for bills but what about for income. I'd be concerned that OH was able to run up debts you were unaware of. What did he spend on and has it stopped. Equally, you're purging, does he have anything he could turn to cash?
Re the ring, if you aren't attached to it, I'd take it to one of the gold shops. You don't have to sell but at least you'll have an idea what it could be worth. In the meantime, keep posting. At least that way you get to vent without ranting at the OH.
I've subscribed and will watch with interest. Keep going.

Hi in need of direction...
Thanks for your interest.. I've lost my focus now on living by the sea, didn't realise how much debt we are in,, oh got swallowed up by over limit with credit card, large loan that I think he took out a few years ago for a family member. Who he does not see anymore, left paying the loan, overdraft needed because of the mortgage, payday loans came... vicious circle...
BUT I now have got everything on a BIG list and although its going to be tough its going to get better, but we got to buckle up for a bumpy ride. All of a suddon we owe around 7k instead on 1.5 k.. plus the mortgage..
Anyway I love my oh , he's not perfect just got sucked in...
Hopefully you will tag along and send me some much needed love support and frienship... iin the words of gloria gaynor. I will survive..0 -
