The last few days have gone out of the window, roll on the 1st of February....


Well today I got to the bottom of my oh debts... not good.. not at all.
So we are a item a pair and union so we do this together...
I got him to actually sit and talk to me and tell me the damage... its not nice... a couple of thousand on the cc and over draft. so ive taken some of the essential bills off him so he can concentrate on his debts. Ok so its made me a bit heavier on the old out goings but that's what marriage is about. right???
Im sure he would help me if I was in this predicament...
So our belt just got tighter yet I can still see us living a decent life, we both have jobs and a roof over our heads... the mortgage is never missed and theres food in the cupboard... give me a couple of months and things will be much better.....

Dinner is cooking and fleabay is done tonight...

Good morning mse world..
well its the morning after the night before , I think my oh slept ok, although I think the worry may have shifted to me, I did sort of make him tell me the truth about his out goings. And his debts...

we tried to get his 3 credit cards over to 0% but no one would accept them, is this because he doesn't pay direct debit? Would he be better seen by doing this? Mine are paid by direct debit..
So I've taken a few of the domestic bills off him.. scraped together the £13.00 in cash for the months tv liecence.. the tv,phone & broadband will be paid the first week in january,
I have told him I will help him as much as I possibly can, don't look like there will be
much left at the end of payday... my biggest concern is that he has a very big loan payment at the end of each month.. its a fair wack of his wages, he also has a 500 pverdraft and also 3 credit cards. Its a complete mess.
Any advise... most welcome..

So I'm off work I'll, but I hope to mse all day' turning this mess around is my only way of getting the future by the sea I want.
Here goes.. every nook and cranny to earn extra cash,

well started my day with porridge to warm me up... not using the heating.. trying to save a bit... brrrr...


Now that breakfast is out the way... I continued to adpoints.... added a few, does this really work... will I see them add on to my nectar card soon.....
I ve tried swagbucks and I find it boring and time consuming... am I right or are you mse friends actually earning anything please be honest....
so now ive had my morning phone call from oh on his work break....
just had a phone call from one of his debts... cc to tell the truth... lets hope he will now sort out and make regular payments to reduce and get rid....
time now to go look at my fleabay and take photos of the new items to add to fleabay at my next available slot....
when Im better I will pick up a few shifts at work to sort this mess out... gutted that I wont be getting a holiday this year... but I know that's the last of my worries really. as long as we keep the roof over our heads im happy..... in it together.... now for the next month of finding the pennies that add up to the pounds.

How much im drawn to the mse forum at the moment... its like another world of people who are all in the same boat... but my boat, maybe small but the engine isn't working at the minute... I would like to get our boat afloat again, if its with a sail, a engine or a paddle, for at the moment I feel I have no paddle and a hole in the bottom....
I know its a lot to do with the oh but a marriage is combined partnership. I actually paid a lot of my debts up without telling my oh over the last few years and I was proud to clear around £3000 of debt all by myself... I didn't ask for help from him for I was too embarrassed. I could tell though this debt my oh has, as been sinking us, every pay day he has nothing left. due to overdrafts. credit cards and bills....
The start of February is going to change us for the better.... I need to make spread sheets to see where the necessarities need to go and what needs to be paid..... I hope by the end of june we will be more stable and at least be able to run the engine on our boat... in this big marina we live in.......
Now the start... how to get him out of his overdraft... situation. any sujestions.....

Mse things done today??? Lol your having a laugh.. can't sleep, worried to much on our financial situation, but the oh seems to be fine about everything. Don't know how he can sleep..
My daughter wants me to join in a venture with her, sounds a good idea, might make us alittle money along the way...
Still need to climb out this mess made by the oh..
Am I starting to resent him for this or can I be strong

Ok realised I'm slidding into depression as well as being I'll and signed off, so I really need to go and get dressed, might feel more human..
A few things to do... like take photos of all my ebay items to be uploaded, need to get back into the swing of things..

Not slept properly since I got it out of the oh how much debt he is in. And how the damn are we going to get out of it.. I know compared to some peoples diaries its not a lot, but its still enough to lose our house if it came to it..

So bad points..

We have too much debt
Too many c cards
Overdraft
No spare cash.

Good points

We are both working
And some how there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Time to reflect on today.. tried to not think about the last few days but the thoughts do creep in when youre not expecting it...


Have tried to get my oh credit cards onto a 0% deal, no one will touch him.. so its going to be a long haul year....


On a good note. ive acquired some designer clothes and branded clothes from my daughter, so at least when I enter them on fleabay I hope they will make me some nice money this month.. will pay towards theses debts....
went out for a walk with my daughter around some charity shops today. wasn't planned but nice as we have never done that before. made a nice few hours this morning...
sister came today and bought me some flowers. cheer me up after the weekends illness. still not feeling the best but I feel im on the mend.... just a knock back with the oh debts... but February is another month and I want to crack this debt by Christmas 11 months to go...

Today is the day for me...
putting everything into catagories now. first things first my list of too dos


check my fleabay,
take my photos for fleabay
enter at least 5 things on fleabay
go to the charity shop buy the item I know has fetched good money on fleabay.. I knew I should have got it lets hope its still there.
sort out my clothes for work
start the process of sorting out the shed.
under the stairs
and the front bedroom


that's enough to keep me going what do you think...


Might start a side line up, have a good idea..
start making a chart on percentage of debts paid


so if I am to clear my credit card bill before Christmas that's 11 months.. the bill is £1500. that's a cool £136.00 a month I need to find to clear it in this time. I wonder if I can... no holidays this year
the belt is tight now. and its about to be pulled as tight as possible.
Clearing these will help me. over come the fear of debt as become.
lets hope my oh is going to do the same with his....

well now then. a trip again to the doctors reveal ive got to see a specialist.. great how long is that going to take... im wanting to go back to work... boo hoo..


Had a better day today though. at least im dressed...


Made myself do a few housey things today. so only just sat down to look on my fleabay and mse forum...


Made a nice beef slow cooked stew for tomorrow. its simmering nicely for tomorrows evenings tea... from the frozen beef and the fresh veg and potatoes ive been to the shop to fetch. so second lot of fresh and brisk air ive put myself through today...


Made a nice sweet and sour chicken for tea.. just needs slamming in the oven and rice to cook when oh gets home for tonights tea. put half a tin of chunky pineapple in it too might have something said at the table as oh doesn't like pinapple... lol. who cares. im cooking...


Im going to eat from the freezer and the cupboard this week till next Friday when I will start my weekly shopping budget over again for February. wont harm us emptying the freezer a bit, im sure its due to be de frosted anyway.... its a mission this week only to buy the basic bread milk and teabags. loo roll lol


Desperate measures to cut a few pence to save a few pence. then again. great oaks from little acorns grow...


will be looking at cutting the house insurance this week, I think im paying too much at £35.00 a month for buildings and contents insurance with emergency cover for a basic 3 bedroomed house.... if anyone know roughly I should think about paying please let me know.
Back down to fleabay... I got some things to add and photo so I will be doing that this evening instead of worrying about debts... last week I wasn't worrying this much so I need to forget the debt but make sure we are paying everything that needs to be paid
