New Job, new prospects

Today I got myself a new job.:j with a little pay rise..:j
spur of the moment idea, start in two weeks time............

so now its time to put hard earnt money into my way forward... I have so many ideas I want to do with my life. one is to sell this house I live in and move to the seaside to be near family. the only thing is I don't think selling this house will make me the money I need to move with... I will have to rent....

I will now be pulling out all the stops to make some extra money on ebay, savings and getting bye. the way I know how....
the newyear brings a tighter budget and a tighter way of living... so I can save more and bring my dream forward...my journey begins in two weeks time.....

Started today on a high note and by lunch time been deflated badly. with some work related bad news. feel like im being used by the company im still employed with... the sooner the better I get away the better I will be...

So lets draw a line under that news for the the time being and move on to more mse kind of things.....

New smiley job to start.. so more money to be earnt....

Entered 4 things on Eb*y today. thats a start. will enter a few more things tonight... must do this more regular.

have decided that extra money that I earn from the new job will be automatically directed to my savings account...
will change the pass name on my account to New life by the sea!!!

Have a Tes*o mobile that is the worst mobile I have ever had. although its cheap in tariff the whole android thing is close to being thrown through a window.....needed addressing.

Have masses of eb*y items to sell, so its going to be my monthly turn over to get rid..

Have started to re decorate the house so little by little will be catching up with that. hopefully keep me away from spending stupid amounts of money on things I really shouldn't be...

will be starting a weekly food budget. to stick too. have found shopping at Li"l a great saving and noticed that we are not wasting half as much money or food as we used to do.. so will carry on with this.....

Sealed cash pot. I have now lost count on how much as gone in to It.
hopefully when I really really really need the money it will have a lovely surprise inside.. will need to smash the money box to get it out. its such a lovely money box too. shame that....

wish I could get my dh on board with being more mse. I feel sometimes Im the one supporting us as he has a lot of loans and cc to pay each month,,, although he doesn't tell me how much he owes he keeps up the repayments but he is always od at the bank with a overdraft..... how do I get him to join me... any ideas welcome....

I intend to put all my Eb*y money if I sell anything into my sealed pot so eventually I will have a good amount of cash to pay either to my cc debts or to the house renorvation...

Well im stressed its official..

im up at stupid oclock thinking of my job,,, stressful measure at the moment..... trying to forget it all is hard going when it creeps into your mind during sleep. it has a way of getting to you and grinding you down, roll on next week when my new job starts....
I never thought my life would turn out like this....
where has my positive happy motivation gone.... i ve lost so much of myself in this last year... i need to find my mojo.... and bring it back.
will let you know when it returns.......

So this old house is looking tired... like me.lol in need of love and affection. will make a start today of clearing up and throwing out.

ebay is slow got a lot of watchers on one item. nothing else selling... trying not to buy anything... did by a cd for dh for xmas he wont mind i got it from ebay as he said he don't want anything for xmas. so this will be a bonus then....

still have items to upload onto ebay. hopefully will try and get some more on today....
not buying any more books till ive read the ones ive got already... i do have a kindle. but i don't use it as much as i should... wasteful as i am.
i read in the newspaper yesterday how a woman as taken care of the bills in her house. for the last year she has shifted her debts and saved so much on shopping more savvi and using vouchers for items etc.... i really need to take a new step and readdress my out goings. if only i could get my dh on board.... gulp...

Hey...
ive not got to go back to my old job.. stress related.. thank god... I needed two days to sort myself out.... my head was thinking about it too much my life revolved about it..... so my new life begins now....

Today I woke and I had slept well. I had gone through the night withi out dreaming or thinking or stressing out about my old job,
I moved myself forward in positive ways... thinking of the positive things and not the rubbish things will keep me alive....
So my positive ways will show on this site. by turning my energy into productive things. I will now promise myself to move forward with the plans I have with this house.... starting with de cluttering and ebaying my unwanteds..........

Well its been a week since I have been to my old job, feeling so much better. my self is coming back day by day...
I have been to my new job for training and its going great. new people and faces that I can bond with. I feel like a new beginning....

I haven't spent anything today. I didn't need anything and we ate from the freezer and the fridge... I can cook tomorrow from the same. I will need to go out and re top up my bus pass at some point. now do I put on two weeks or a month on... hmmm
Will be looking into my ebay tomorrow. need to get them items on and sold... cash into my pot please... future seaside pot... I do still want to sell up and move to the seaside.. its my venture my focus...

so back to making a shopping list for the food shopping and a menu list for the next week... my shopping total ran over my budget last week as I bought washing powder and bits that I don't buy weekly...

Hello there! Two weeks in at my new job! Its so busy you wouldn't imagine'
Lots to do arranging and meetings, taxing at times but hey ho, its a better job, better working enviroment and better pay..

Ebay a little shabby, £8 collected, 2 items, rubbish really, will add more items this weekend.
Tesco points spent on new winter boots.
Boots points 30.00 worth going to use to buy all beauty products for year 2014.

Still collecting nectar points and costa coffee points.

Sealed pot is topping up nicely. Not sure to where this cash will be used but not thinking of opening as yet.

Need a sealed pot, starting to put away £1. A week for white goods, for kitchen, you never know.
Need a jam jar to put a few pound in for birthdays. Going to make a list of all birthdays and try be more organised with cards and presents.

Will pick up the odd shift at work if needed, extra money can go straight to seaside
fund.

Still looking for nice cuttings off plants, for my house, might go to a few bazar sales etc to accomodate.

Wardrobe... I'm going to buy a second hand from ebay, or charity shop this year, nothing new only socks, underwear. Have a budget spring summer and winter, ebay any clothes I've got that I no longer require.

So my main aims,

Started spending my boots points this week, have picked up a few body washes and deoderants,talc and hand wash. Should keep us going for awhile.
Going to spend all the points and start the card off again for next year,

Openned my sealed pot now food shopping. Lol.

Good Afternoon. my frugal friends..


Today I'm feeling so positive about my finances.debts and know this next year 2014 is going to be more structured.


I've started to put in place the ideas of a sealed pot, its just a piggy bank and more determined to save..
I've joined the £2 savings that's going to be until December 1st 2014.
I'm going to do the £10 a day challenge. so many ideas needed my friends... take anything on board.
Saving a £1 a week ready for a new washing machine.. I know the one I have is ok at the moment but he is almost a teenager and never broken down as yet... but you never know.
Saving for Birthdays and Christmas also.. so lots to budget for...
Still want to keep my food budget to £30.. sounds a bit mean but it can be done... weekly shops. meal planning and anything left over can go in the £10 a day challenge at the end of the week.
Non spend days will also be recorded this year at the end of each week. more organised me is needed for 2014.


Anyone want to join me this year please subscribe, all the more the merrier. friends are welcome. we are all in the same boat. I will lend you my paddle anytime....
