New Job, new prospects

Right then..


Now i've registered with the groups and challenges I want to be with this year its time to start the way I mean to go on... I did so well last year collecting money from different ways of buying and selling and clearing out...


Tonight I have put 5 items on fleabay...lol. will add another 5 tomorrow..
getting a few things in place for my first weeks returns... don't want to be picking extra shifts up at work to compensate my wages...
still needing time for myself and this is going to help me do it.....
I have managed to get two new free items and I have put them on fleabay so what ever they make is a profit to me....
Have decided that im being that frugal with money I will only buy from fleabay or charity shop this year for clothes... lets see if I can do it... my sister gets some right good bargains so I'm looking in that area too.
Starting to get the oh on board.. he needs a lot of help. still buys two daily papers a day... told him to ditch the idea and look on line. that's why we have broad band.... think of that at least a £1 a day he would save..... £365 a year on newspapers what a waste of money to read doom and gloom.....
National lottery is not happening in my house any more either. I will happily put £2 away in my pot... instead of loosing out to next too numbers like I normally get....
After work tomorrow will pop into that beauty chemist in town and use some of my loyalty points for essentials like body wash, deoderants. talc, luxury face masks and nail polish to pamper myself with. all for free. by doing that at least once a week I will feel more indulgence with myself than going out spending money I really haven't got.... here's to my £19.50 worth of free loyalty points....

Hi Guys. here I am again.. just logged into my fleabay account... 5 items on last night. 1 item as a bid on it... surprised myself there with that one... still a few days to go on them... Not had time to enter new items onto fleabay so will do so tomorrow night when home from work.. got weds and Friday off this week....
wasn't very frugal this morning. returned the favour for a friend and bought her a costa coffee. me too... £6 pound lighter for two take away coffees... they saw me a coming didn't they.... wont be happening in the newyear I can tell ya...
So I remember last January looking out of my window at the snow. entering my fleabay items onto the laptop... it wont be long till that snow comes again and the time to stay in where its warm... hmmm snug.. continue with my fleabay through the winter...
I have loads of books auto biographies and dvd's and c'ds that I need to clear out... which is the easiest... amazon, magpie or fleabay... who can help me decide and why...
Challenges are set and my hubby as already refused to buy a newspaper today,,, instead he put 50p into the change pot... its a start isn't it.... im training him am I not?
Any helpful hints and tips to help me be more frugal.. and don't say no more costa because I could taste it all morning... not my favourite drink to be honest...
So early night for me... yes 10pm is early for me... not slept last night properly so ready for my bed tonight...

Ha ha Newyears eve is apon us. and the start of the 2014 savings begin. its running through my mind how we can make some extra money... so my journey begins...


One good thing today, my hubby as not bought a newspaper for two days and today I caught him checking out the news on line... im happy hes getting frugal like me... lets hope he keeps to it....

Grrr just checked my bank account and my cc payment as been taken out 4 days early... that's miffed me right off as I am now overdrawn! I would have been paid on Friday and that would have been fine.... how come the banks can just change the dd date? but if I want to I have to give notice.... Ive now had to borrow money to replace into my account to cover this so not to incur charges at bank or c. card.... not a happy chappy.... So im going through our finances. actually got the oh to start looking at the bills... cant see where we can save any money. only on the virgin media and the house insurance. although he has now got me to have the virgin media bill in my account... so I will haggle as best I can to get the price down... also I shall be watching my calls now.
So time to get on with making some money.
First thing is to get some items onto fleabay this afternoon.
then start looking at bigger items to clear out.. time for a change.

Hey.. day 1.
Managed to get 13 items uploaded to fleabay.. will be watching closely now.
In need to keep my challenge up this month. Off work Friday. Will start looking at amazon for selling my books, if anyone knows any better please let me know.
Had my first Nsd today too. Off to read a few diaries xx

Hey day 2./31.
Today another NSD went through town and did not spend a penny, called in at beauty shop and bought 2 nice body washes with some of my free points not a penny left my purse! I'm so disciplined. Haha .
Got on to virgin today couldn't make much of a saving, £3.40 a month saving but then again over a year that's about £40 . So not to be snuffed at. And to top it off I found 5p h road kill. Happy me!
So tomorrow is Friday, in the afternoon its time to look through the book collection. See if I can sell any on amazon or ebay..

Hi there! Day 3./31


So what mse things have I done today...


I went to town..... No nsd for me.... but it needed to be done...
Had to top up bus pass.....
looked around some xmas things and bought wrapping paper and ribbon half price.. almost next to nothing....
Bought a his and hers calendar as no one bought us one this year...
Spoke with the nice lady from sky.... got a run down on new plan.... passed it over to oh.. see if its worth the swop. me im not so sure... playing with pennies I think, then after a year it goes back up again, is it worth the hasstle...
Came home and took the tree down and all the decorations... ahh back to normal... im now ready for getting stuck into work and sorting out my front bedroom on my days off... time for a revamp...of my housey hopefully with fleabays help....
Managed to get two more items onto fleabay this afternoon and also one item sold today.. not much but its all going to add up... Tall Oaks from little acorns grow.....
Told my oh today do not touch my money box.... or his fingers will go missing...... lol
Tomorrow im at work, and im hoping to have a nsd... fingers crossed. I might just go and spend a few more of my beauty points on me... all free luxuries....
Time now for big brother and a jolly good laugh....

Day 4/31...

Spent the morning at work, resisted all temptation to buy anything on my way home from work..... will power oh the mighty will power.

Anything MSE?
Sold another item today on fleabay. £5.22 to my piggy bank.
Also 11p road kill find..
NSD. Today..

Will try and find new items for fleabay enteries this week.

Off to bed now tired and working tomorrow, got 7 shifts in a row.
