ring the police now and report it show the messages , dont ignor this i wouldnt never and id be on at the school not to let her go unless mum has said so
i would never look at this threat as empty as its not uncommon for it to happen and its harder to get them back than you think
my brothers friend and his sister was taken to jordan in the middle east age 4 and 6 only returned after being kidnapped back aged 11 its tramatised the kids, they couldnt speak English or welsh any more they had to learn again worst of all they though there mum was dead untill they we returned to her ,
there mother and her family spent every penny shethey had and more to get them back also it nearly killed her ,
please dont take the risk and also where is the passport?
not wanting to scare you but it should be said
Yeah it is. Obviously what happened to your brother's friend is awful but to say that child abduction is 'common' is just not true."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Let me clarify post 1 - was a ramble
friend has 1 child by her ex.
At the time ex was married although this wasn't apparent as his wife was in prison.
She splits up from ex when all this comes out - but shes pregnant.
Ex goes back to his wife - has nothing to do with friend or baby
Ex splits up with his wife -- meets a new woman - moves to live with her and her kids
Ex and new woman are expecting a baby
Ex then remembers he has a child - starts court action for contact and parental responsibility, long drawn out case
Result of case - Indirect access of letters only, (which he stopped any contact a yr ago - breeched the court order), no parental responsibility given he was warned by court over his Harresment over the years
(Although he had no physical contact - kept cropping up phone calls, (so friend changed number 3 times over the years), text messages and strange calls (couldn't be proved) - changed mobile number
Sent messages online via friends reunited, facebook - not nice - police been involved - blocked from facebook
Now friend has recieved the disturbing messages from his new partner - reported to police, but as she was not named on court order the harresment side does not cover her.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Thanks OP.
Yep, I'd report the ex and his new partner to whoever manages the court order.
I'd close my facebook account and never look at facebook again.
I'd change my mobile and landline yet again and not give the new numbers out to anyone remotely connected to the ex.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Any more posts you want to make on something you obviously know very little about?"
Is an actual reaction to my posts, so please don't rely on anything I say.

actually - I would say the ex has complete contempt for the court. he hasn't complied with any orders. This man will do WHAT he wants WHEN he wants. and is working through his new partner to access his childs movements.
I would shut down facebook page - they are using it to gain information and knowledge. even the most innocent posts can give valuable information. such as 'child has 'nativity play tonight' - well if they know the general area then all info has to be on school website! (personally I think school websites are dangerous - they unwittingly give out FAR too much info on the school and the kids - hell, until I pointed it out my grandkids school named the 'Stars' of the week! for the world and his wife to see!)!0 -
Now friend has recieved the disturbing messages from his new partner - reported to police, but as she was not named on court order the harresment side does not cover her.
Just because she wasn't on the original order doesn't mean that she can't now be reported for a new course of harassment. If the police don't understand that, and it continues, then take it to a more senior police officer.0 -
As for solicitor - legal aid system all changed so shes not entitled to any help, and dreads to see the cost of an appointment and letter.
Perhaps it might be important to prioritise this expense over other outgoings such as holidays. For peace of mind!I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Well it is a lot cheaper than a LD phone call :money:
Deleting a facebook account won't stop someone harrassing you, although it might make it harder.
OP, I hope your friend has managed to get this sorted.0 -
