Its not cheaper to buy local, you've forgotten that in common with a lot of companies, drug companies tend to price for different markets. SOmeone on this thread mentioned how cheap anti-h was in Poland. Ultimately we all want quality of life and do what it takes to achieve it.0 -
Boots also have Galpharm at 50% off at the moment - 7 tabs for 99p0

My Doctor claimed Zirtek was cheaper over the counter last time I asked for a repeat prescription. Lloyds Chemist said no. However I saw this thread and went to Sainsburys pharmacist. This time I asked for the generic Cetirizine Hydrochloride.
Result: 30 x 1 a day tablets for £1.990 -
I just found a packet of Telfast in my cupboard left over from last year. GP prescribed them for me saying how wonderful they were and how she uses them herself etc. However when I read the side effects they seemed worse than other anti H. What is the difference betweent the Telfast and the more common Zirtec, Clarityn etc?

Further to my post about Sainsburys, I found myself today in Lloyds Chemist trying to buy the same thing (Cetirizine Hydrochloride - Zirtek in all but name).
Lloyds charged me £7.99 for 30. This was still cheaper than their price for Zirtek but whopping £6 or 300% more expensive than Sainsburys. And actually more expensive than a Prescription.
Sadly I did not have the time to pop to the Sainsburys 2 miles away. Needless to say I will be avoiding Lloyds wherever possible in future.

If you tell your GP that you take an antihistamine daily, they can give you up to 60 Neo-Clarityn's for one prescription, £6.50 for 60 tabs, mine did!
I think Costco do giant bottles of 100 tabs of 10mg loratidine but can't remember how much they are, should be a good deal though.0 -
I am about to purchase some flixonase and I have had a vast price range at boots they will charge 80 pounds and at Morrisons they have qouted me 37 pounds nearly half the price. I'm visiting my doctor to see if I can have a prescription wonder if he will do it if I originally had it on a private presciption. Maybe thats why the prices are so high.
Anyway my question is has anyone used Flixonase with Zirtek? and does this anithisthamine reduce the size of your polyps?
:money: :rolleyes:0 -
minap: Got this response from Sam_26 (on MSE forum) some months ago but didn't follow it up. He has a pharmacy called North Meols Pharmacy in Southport (can't remember their number). Used them a few times with very good results via telephone etc.
"Sorry, Nasacort is prescription only. What about trying Flixonase. Its just off prescription can can let you try that for £4.99 for 60 dose, no postage charges."0
