white screen

Got a A Samsung D900, the display screen is goosed and showing nothing but whiteness. nyone got any idea of the best way to sort this out??? Is it just a matter of replacing the screen? where do I get a screen ? is it easy to replace? should I take it to a shop?

as long as it's still within 12 months guarantee take it to cpw they can repair it for free as long as it isn't accidental damage!

not under any warranty, is it likely to be the ribbon or the full screen ? are they easy enough to replace? likely cost?

i would take it to a shop, as i nearly broke an old e800 trying to change the ribbon in it

the cable should be about £5-£10

there are two different versions of the d900 pcb, both use different ribbon cables, one has a connector on one end the other has not. before buying a ribbon, check which you need, we stock both if you need one.

I just opened the phone up and there was no ribbon, turns out the phone is a d800 and not a d900. Does this mean that i need the screen replaced???

d800 still has a ribbon

Had another look and found the ribbon so have bought the one listed.
Thanks for that, just hope its easy to fit.
