Thank you Jonno - I've looked through the whole booklet now & it does say that, sorry, I should have checked it all first before asking! I presume you're meant to scan anything & everything you buy, from supermarkets to petrol, clothes & cigarettes (even if the stores aren't given a specific barcode in the booklet).

Tajna - you need to be invited as they don't have a page on their site when you can join up. If you go to http://www.volunteer4panels.com/ which is what I did, they'll send you a referral if/when there's a space I got mine in about 2-3 weeks.

cant wait as used to do it years ago but due to family comitments ie kids i had to give it up, however now they at school and baby going nursery i can re start again whoo

Ive tried lots of times to join up but no luck yet. I live alone so was wondering if thats why im not being picked because I obviously don't need as much grocerys for one person.

I joined and my scanner will not download the information. I have contacted shop and scan about 5 time and been given different instructions on setting up the driver for the device etc. I have used two different computers and tried lots of times and it just wont work. I asked if it could be scanner that is broken but I was told it would not be broken. I wondered if there are any other companies like shop and scan? I might give up trying and switch to another company.

Hi Susan...shop and scan is a company that monitors consumer trends. They give you a hand held scanner that you use to scan your shopping, you then transmit the data to them along with copies of the till reciepts. I am a member but you need to be invited to join, you can register your intrest here - www.volunteer4panels.com I cant remember how long it took though.

Is the website playing up for anyone else? I'm trying to upload my scans and barcodes and it just crashes or does nothing at all when I click the send button. I'm even using IE to try and keep it happy!

It worked last week :S

smae happens with me uploading barcodes but receipts work fine im using windows 7 i have to upload with my wifes laptop witch is an xp machine. ive emailed them got a response of saying try fire fox or chrome both them did nothing just click the link to upload barcodes and it does litrally nothing ive emailed um back again and they just said they have hundreds of windows 7 users with no problems please phone us on an 05 number and well see if we can solve the issue i anit phoning them as im sure its a premium number and i cant see um doing anything other than working thru the problem solving page
