Just import all numbers in original phone to sim card. Put said sim card in the new phone and import from sim to phone. All done - simples.0

No, because even on older phones, you can copy the contacts from SIM to memory or vice versa.
On each contact it shows a little SIM card symbol if it's stored on the SIM.No free lunch, and no free laptop
