The reduced fee is cynically placed in front of you to panic you into going for that and in the same process causing you to miss out on the NtK additional options. Once you've paid the reduced fee, it is game over for you, no appeal to the PPC and no appeal to POPLA.

Avoiding the temptation to pay the reduced amount opens up the way to 'paying' an even more reduced amount after a win at POPLA - £0.00.

    Sound like a better reduction?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • Thank you all, I am getting a bit twitchy as I hadn't heard from the college. But I know I need to be patient and we will not pay!

My son has just shown me a new photograph he has taken today of another temporary sign erected in the college car park that says if you do not show a valid permit and payment you may be given a Contractual Breach Payment £80. Leaving out the word PENALTY!
So as far as I can see that is an admission to incorrect signage in the 1st place. Will keep photos for poppa if needed.
  • Why on earth are you getting twitchy?, the is nothing to get twitchy about

You may as well use the winning arguments for popla appeals. Dont rely on the college doing anything
