Gifts for cats a daft idea?

Options
Morning all!
I'm making some catnip pillows for the cats in our extended family (4 in total)- just simple squares stuffed with the catnip I've found here.

A few people have said it's a bonkers idea and that you shouldn't get gifts for pets. What do you think? Do you give your pets gifts at Christmas?

No, I don't think it's a daft idea as I give my animals presents too :)! My friend makes and sells cat toys and beds and I ordered a few catfish mice and fish last Christmas which was posted through my letterbox while I was at work. By the time I came home the cat had intercepted the package, ripped it open and there were cat toys all over the hall! He must have had a lot of fun with them as there were around 5 of them .

Back to your question, I think it's a good idea and I sure the cats will appreciate them :)

  • I think it is a lovely idea :)
I have actually been knitting up catnip mice for Cats protection and my cat loves the one I gave her :)
I am going to give some to my mum's cats.

    The cats will love them

I think it's mean not to get them anything! My cat is always a bit hyper on Christmas morning as he knows something is different with everyone crowded round the living room and wrapping paper everywhere. He gets a little Christmas sack every year with a few toys and treats in, and it's hilarious watching him dive in and pull everything out.

Awww! I think that this is a lovely idea. At christmas my dog always had a doggy advent calender where she had a treat each day and on the big day she had a big selection box (we made it).

Please don't worry about what others say if you want to do it then do it - pets are our family! :)
