  • Briefly chatting with Dr Langlands the other day, I got the impression he's set on an academic career now.
  • Loved it! I hope they will go into some more detail about foods. ;-)

Imagine cooking all your family's meals over a fire on the floor in your living room!

O wow that museum looks good, such a pity its the opposite end of the country for me, would be easier to get to the moon :( I think places like this would be such an eye opener and the courses look amazing.

I'm still all in a witter after that close-up of Peter's codpiece :D
I didn't see the Green Valley so this was new to me, totally loved it. Funny how anything used/invented centuries ago always seems to be so sensible and simple ;) I wonder what they're going to do with all of them peas though..

This was new to me too and I really enjoyed it too - on the pea front, I would imagine they will dry them for use during the winter.

Always St.Fagan's (in South Wales) for the Church?
Brilliant place - stunning buildings, great staff & real animals (you thought the Tamworths cute? See them & other breeds alongside period buildings!)

Am looking at Beamish, we could do that one. :)
  • Oh, I must have missed that! I shall iPlayer it later! I've always enjoyed the "Farm" programmes they've done... and always had a bit of a soft spot for Peter, so I'm glad he's still there!

Not many MSE lessons to be learnt there unless you've a spare 5 acres and an ox.

I've been to St Fagans - yes, brilliant place - and I don't say that about many places!

It was free to enter when I went, £2.50 for the car park. Not much "on site food", but plenty of places to eat a picnic.

It's a good 3-4 hours' worth of strolling around and can easily be stretched, with a picnic, to be 5-6 hours.

I might watch it if Alex Langland isn't in it. He ruined Timeteam for me when he took over from the brilliant Stuart explaining the terrain, he was hopeless.

To be fair I think they were trying to jazz it up because they brought in a woman as well to be the ignorant layperson and it really didn't work.
