Sorry to hear about your bad luck OP:(, but take heart because one day in the not too distant future you won't have to dread these things, but will just take money from savings and sort it out.
I had an horrendous unexpected bill last year but as I have always been debtphobic I was able to sort it and am now able to cut back to the bone once again whilst I make my savings back up, but I'm still ok and haven't had to pay any interest charges on top. It will be the same for you soon too.
Keep track of every penny because nothing feels as good as being debt free. Good luck!:)0 -

Oh and I have joined up to the debt free by xmas 2014, not to clear it as that would actually be an impossibility on our income, but I have set my self a target to get rid of this year and will do the same next year0
