Not that I can see. They quote their PCN on their letter & have provided a part complete POPLA Appeal letter. There is a verification code at the bottom marked for office use only. It is ten digits so would this be it?

Yes that is definitely it - had the same for one I did on behalf of a relative.

Time to research POPLA appeals now then - remember to post it up before sending.

Do not bother in replying to UKPC's silly last response - not worth the effort!

OMG you have nearly missed your chance to appeal to POPLA, by writing back to UKPC; you are lucky they responded. Check the code against the link given by bod1467 to see what date it was issued. You only had 28 days to use it and of course you have to appeal to POPLA, UKPC aren't going to appeal for you, why would they?!

What do you think these links (below) are on the forum for?

How to win at POPLA. And read the latest POPLA decisions (do not start reading there at page 1 - read back from the most recent at the end, and learn).

Show us your draft POPLA appeal, easily adapted from one on that first link, and confirm how long you have left to get this submitted please.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Well UKPC after I emailed asking for them to refer the matter to POPLA they sent a letter stating I should refer the matter

This is frustrating as they did not give me the further 35 days as stated in their previous letter & the date of their latest letter is the day after I sent my email to them requesting they refer the matter & provide me with the reference.

Do I complete the POPLA referral online or do I push them to do it?

This certainly confused me at first but yes -reading again OMG - COUPON's right!

You also did not state you had the 10 digit POPLA code here and the POPLA sheet. Did this response come with the first letter you wrote re post #21 or did you write again re my other suggestion post #25 and this was given in reply? The clock is certainly ticking.

Do check the Pranksters decoder for POPLA - as you may need even urgent help to appeal this.

the newbies thread contains the link to this walkthrough of the process https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/63678135#Comment_63678135

it also shows you who appeals to popla , ie:- you do

now if you check the code you were given, and the date you were given it, you hopefully will know how long you have left to get your appeal in to popla , which you should have been drafting since post #1 (6 weeks ago) of this thread ;)

now only an idiot or numpty would miss this crucial deadline for submitting the popla appeal to popla

now given that you are not an idiot or numpty, that wont happen , will it ? ;)

so I am adding my 10 pennorth to the last few posts, in that

TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE HERE !!

just get your draft checked on here before submission (asap)

    good luck
  • Thank you all. To be clear I appealed to UKPC via their website using the letter as I had previously written up. I had used a template provided following the links I had previously been given when I first posted here.

Consequently I have appealed & this was rejected by UKPC but they did not provide a POPLA code as I had requested they do if they rejected my challenge. I then emailed UKPC again asking for the reference which I have only just received.

I have a helpful template for the Appeal to POPLA & I will post this is full shortly for you guys to review. I'll review those additional links too.

Still make sure you check that POPLA code though - UKPC might have been sneaky and given you a code dated from the original rejection and not dated from your reminder.
