The last time I viewed my Noodle credit report it was so out of touch compared to the big 2 CRA's I didn't bother again, missed info all through the joke of a CRA.

Anyone who checks their Noodle credit report to get a full picture of their credit files are completely bonkers IMHO.

It is "Noddle", and it is the Financial Organisations responsibility to update the records, not the CRA themselves.

I was wondering if it was some sort of Pasta Rating Agency. ;)

Noddle is a monthly snapshot of your Callcredit report/data, so may lag by up to a month on that. In turn creditors that report to Callcredit may lag by up to a month if they only send monthly updates.

Noddle can be useful, especially given that it is free, but you need to understand the limitations.

Saying that, if a creditor has failed to send an update then you need to get on to the creditor about about that.

I'm waiting for Noddle and Equifax to remove an expired Default from my file - it expired on 9th November - Experian update overnight so by the 10th i.e. Sunday, it was gone - why each time do I have to email Noddle and Equifax - for something like this, where there's no argument, it's 6 years old so should automatically drop away, do I have to wait and chase these people - if they're going to have systems, they should, for things like this, automatically update.

My Noddle file is rather comprehensive. Every credit account, bank account, mobile phone, loan and credit card I've had is on there.

When my last default dropped off at the beginning of March I think I had to wait a couple of weeks for it to drop off my file. Wasn't an issue though.

All good to me, especially when it's free, Noddle seems to be like Marmite on here :)
  • It's free people! If it's not good enough for you then pay £X a month to the other two. Or get your statutory reports via the post for £2 a shot. In my experience, though, Noodle is pretty comprehensive and lists all of my current and expired accounts.

As for defaults not dropping off your file quickly enough - as has been said, Noddle is a monthly snapshot - so any changes won't be visible until the following month. Your actual Noodle (Call Credit) file will be updated immediately though.

Actually, while my defaults were dropping off I had free access to both callcreditcheck and noddle. I'm not sure why, but others have reported the same, but on the actual live callcredit database they removed defaulted accounts about 2 weeks before the exact 6 years point.
