Very cute, piggers. Edible.
Friends have gone and all quiet here (I hope). Boys had a great time as usual. They have gone to different schools so they really seem to appreciate the times we get them together. The girls still see each other 3 days a week at nursery. I had a good catch up with my friend too. We've decided to book in another tea date before all the diaries get crammed before Xmas.
I need to unload DW tonight and refill. Tonight's dinner used a lot of baking dishes
But I'm having a cuppa first!
Visiting tomorrow: dad, who cannot drive due to a bad fall on Tuesday with a broken collarbone in 3 places (ouch - thankfully specialist said no op to set it), then mum who is back from hols tonight. Might ask if she'll stay with me a couple of nights next week. Moral support, y'know. MIL doesn't want me to be on my own, but I know in her heart she wants to be in her own home next week, and not having to think about anyone else for a day or two :A
My friend tonight suggested I have a massage or get my nails done next week. And go for coffee and cake. Just treat myself. Liking the idea of a massage...Bossymoo

Pigpen she really is very beautiful - is this the little monkey who doesn't sleep til 3am? Can't believe it for a second :A!!
Bossy I think that's a really good idea to have your Mum over to stay for a while next week and as for treating yourself yes, go for it!
Mrs Moneypenny sorry to hear you've had some bad news re someone on another thread
Been going through DD and DS's files and decluttering a lot of paperwork that we don't need. Have washed up the dishes in the kitchen and wiped down the worktop and kitchen table and also sorted out the dry washing ready to iron tomorrow. Have a lovely evening every oneFlymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
I've had the day from hell with technology. My laptop decided it had to install updates, then it took 6 hours to do a virus scan during which time I couldn't use it otherwise it does that "not responding" thing, and then every time I tried to open a file or connect to the internet it started "not responding". In the end I've had to use DD's computer again to do my work. No idea whats up with my computer. So I've done disk clean up including system files, and defraged and switched it off for the night before it got thrown
DD talked non-stop for 2 hours when she got home. Most of which was incoherent jabbering as she was doing homework or getting stroppy with me and biting my head off because I didn't know the ins and outs of the geography of Italy. She then asked me for help with writing 2 CVs for a display in school, one good and one bad. Apparently I couldn't do that right either, coming from a 12 year old who didn't even know what a CV looks like  So I printed a copy of mine out and told her to use that as a template. She was a little shocked when she read it and started looking up definitions for some of the words as she didn't have a clue what they meant.:rotfl: She's now accepted that I might not know things because I didn't do them in school but I do know a fair bit about a lot of other things.
Tomorrow I had better do some flying other than laundry. The place is quite tidy as I've tided up through the day when I've gotten too frustrated. But it needs a clean, especially as I've been shredding papers. See you all tomorrow :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Hope pixie stayed in bed. Tiny is currently tossing and turning in the basket but asleep. Later will consist of continuing to find the bottom of the ironing pile and getting back to work.0

I have hoovered through out again, cleared the coat rack, the shoes and bunged them all in dd's room, bed is up and in the boys bedroom, safety gates (all 3 of them are behind dinning room chairs) bed delivery men should have a clear walk through, I just hope they turn up soon.0
