Excellent news Mrs MP. I'm so pleased that you can stop worrying.
Healing vibes for you, Lamewolf. Handwashing waits, quite happily, in my experience.
Shower room half way to being sparkly. Drains, underseat areas and shower runners being deyikked. I should be sweeping the bicarb off the mattresses and shoving it down the drains but I've had enough for one day.Better is good enough.0 -
My most vivid childhood memory was having eyedrops put in after I had a squint fixed. My dad pinning me down and my mum trying to prize my eyes open with one hand and squeeze drops in with the other while I wailed like a banshee. Happy days :rotfl:
lmao i have the same memory, all my brothers and sister used to say one eye was at the shop and the other one is running home with the change! I am so please my parents got that fixed for me though.0 -
May have to bow out as stretching myself a bit thin.

Dancemum Just do what you have to in order to get through this trying time ((hugs))
Mrs Moneypenny so glad everything is OK and it's just a harmless cyst. Big relief for you and your DH I'm sure
Got DS back from school and making a cuppa. My list is looking good. Even DH is noticing the difference. Just this morning he asked me if I'm flying again. I asked why he thought I was and he said well, the house is looking so much better and cleaner- he does notice! Am thinking I may have to get a new vacuum cleaner as all my Bosch seems to do is move the stuff around, not pick it up - it's a nightmare with hairs. Any recommendations?
Anyhow, here's my list:
Tantalising Tuesday - Kitchen and Dining Room
15 minutes...
Clean floors
Deep Clean Challenge
Do a food inventory!! Feel free to get carried away and do more cupboards!!!
Wild Wednesday - those frightening kids rooms and spare rooms
Got an hour...
Wipe any sticky marks off walls and doors
Extra Task List- Wipe the radiators, skirtings and window & door frames!
Off to DS's report evening at 5 then dinner and then off to Beavers - just signing up as a Sectional Assistant so a lot to learn :eek:Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
(((Hugs))) Dancemum
Hope you're feeling better, LW
Glad you're OK. mrs-mp
Spent this morning painting a cupboard, skirting and doors. DH went for a blood test, came back, had a sit-down and then did an hour's work, unscrewing the stair handrail and emulsioning part of a wall. This afternoon I have driven him to hospital (25 min) for an echocardiogram (20 min plus car-park-space hunting time) and home again (40 min in after-school rush hour). I have made us each a cuppa and must plod on again. Tomorrow afternoon he has an appointment at the memory clinic and I shall have to go with him again in order to find out what is going on in his head.0 -
I've done nothing much this afternoon.
Jools thinking of you xx
Mrs P glad it was harmless

Mrs mp - yaay! What a relief!
I've finished work for 11 days. Was just saying bye to everyone and my boss looked like he was going to say something, but just sort of bobbed his head as if he was speaking. I sort of knew what he was trying to say but didn't have the words for (nor did I) so I just nodded back and left (avoiding tears!)
Felt so emotional leaving, I've been so busy these last few weeks that I've not had time to think. But now there is nothing between me and next week, I think its hit me. I'll have to find another kind of busy. That might include the crammed full shed...
So other than paid stuff the only thing I've achieved is putting the cover back on the BBQ and fastening it round the frame with tie-wraps. It's tucked in a corner but the wind still gets at it. Maybe if I sort the shed it can go in there...
Just having a cuppa then will go get the littlies. Need to have a gentle chat with DS about him saying he wishes people were deadoh joy

My wretched sewing machine has blown a fuse again. That's the third time. I've reset the circuit breaker and phoned the sewing machine repair man. Again.
Does anyone know if the B00t$-the-chemist muslin squares are hemmed? One of the small projects I wanted to crack on with are little muslin bags or squares for holding spices while the crabapple pickles and chutneys boil. I can circumvent the requirement for the sewing machine if they don't fray.Better is good enough.0 -
Afternoon all
Back just in time to get the washing off the line before dark.
Mrs MP so relieved for you but if you get another lump you go and get it checked just like this time ok!
Jools hug, be kind to yourself
Natty and LW hoping you both are feeling more like yourselves soon
I'll update the challenge list tonight on my main pc so let me know your progress or if I have missed something. I have one bid on one of my 9 ebay items. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Mrs P good news xx
Mumof2 Is the machine pipe blocked in any way as it won't pick up, or has the pipe got a hole in it and the suction is escaping?
