(((Hugs))) jools27.
Random tidying going on here. I am an official saddo. In my desperate attempt to start on the task of clearing a cubic metre in the attic I have taken to measuring the boxes I have brought down. Depressingly, I am on only 10% of the way there and I thought that would pretty much knock it on the head. Note to self: A cubic metre is a big, big amount of space.Better is good enough.0 -
Afternoon all.
Changed my plans for today. I was going to go Christmas shopping, but after spending 2 hours doing paid stuff I am no longer in the mood and the black clouds outside means its probably going to rain so I've decided to get on with paid stuff and some flying instead.

Work out how many sets of lights I need for Christmas & which ones I want - can't decide between coloured or white LED ones for around the room. Also can't decide how to tackle the lights for the tree this year. I need about 500 bulbs if not more, may require a trip to Christmas departments in town

Natty don't beat yourself up about a difficult day with BD. Judging yourself is unfair. Hope you're feeling better today.
optimistic-mummy glad to hear MIL visit went well
jools27 not an easy day for you, take care of yourself
Limited flying happened last night after work. I went for a run, and baked a lot of chocolate cupcakes. This required a lot of tidying up! I did manage to dust LR, DR and hallway, and hoover bedroom, bathroom and stairs.
Today after work I need to do more party prep and planning. I will also do some more flying to get ahead before the party!0 -
I took delivery of 8 stacking crates so I have sorted the maternity stuff and the tiny baby, newborn, 6-9, 9-12, 12-18 clothes into those to be stacked neatly in the loft. I have also sorted a box of stuff to go in the loft full of gibble. I have a massive box to go to chazzer as well.. possibly 3 binbags worth.. though I will go through it again and ebay some. I have a few Christmas bits which might sell this time of year.
OH taking Squeak ice skating.. Her second eye has started up with the ickies now so they are drugged much to her disgust.. the pharmasist obviously has no experience of administering eye drops to fighting toddlers.. lol.
I am going to sit here and knit while he is out.. I need to keep an unerring eye on Dot.. she is on top form today the little monster.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Afternoon everyone :hello:
I have been MIA this week so far as I have been laid up with a dodgy tum -- either a bug or MIL's curry  but I feel normalish today so I'm running to catch up.
Shopped this morning; they had stacked the delivery in front of the cider in Ald! and I couldn't squeeze through the gap between the palates so I'm taking that as fate telling me I need to lay off the booze :rotfl:
Came home, put all the food away, tidied and S&Sed the kitchen.
Rang my sister (for 2 and a half hours) and cleaned the windows and bathroom while we blethered.
Now I need to tackle the ironing pile, I'm hoping I'll steam through it within an hour.
Hope all is well with you all xx0 -
the pharmasist obviously has no experience of administering eye drops to fighting toddlers.. lol.
My most vivid childhood memory was having eyedrops put in after I had a squint fixed. My dad pinning me down and my mum trying to prize my eyes open with one hand and squeeze drops in with the other while I wailed like a banshee. Happy days :rotfl:0 -
Hi all
Natty how're you feeling today, sweetie?:o Bonnie has a very big, deep bark, so if you need her to woof at the BD and scare it back into its kennel, just let me know.:D Are you dressed yet? Remember we promised we'd both make sure to at least dress properly every day?;) Have a (((HUG))) to be going on with.:o
Boddy I never heard of cats crying tears before; hope you're ok, and the knee isn't too bruised. I take it your current avatar is Ginger Ninja?:o
I'm having a bit of a rough day – nothing to worry about, just one of those days when I keep feeling sick all the time.:( I've had a bit of lunch; time will tell if it stays put. (Sorry if tmi). It'll pass, but it's a nuisance as Mr LW's pal is coming over tonight, and the lounge needs vacuuming again. I have two tops that need hand washing, but tbh I don't feel well enough to stand at the sink and do them, so I think they might have to wait.:( I have other clothes, I shan't be going skyclad!:D What I ought to do is get my personal binder out and weed the contents – a least I can do that sitting down.:o I think I might just brush Bonnie first, though.:whistle:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon
Half day here, so ironing is on the go!
Going to declutter a 2 hour sleep as well!
Might sweep up some leaves and have a tidy around of the garden first before it gets dark.
Had to laugh as well, I had a letter today from DWP, informing me I can claim my pension from the age of 66, just how old do they think I currently am!!
(and for those that don't know I am 50, feel about 30 so I have another 16 years to go yet,)Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles
