Well what if you say that you are going spam an email?

I don't think you can spam an email. You can spam someone's inbox by sending them an unwanted email. But an email itself either is spam, or isn't spam. :D if that makes sense.

Accounts get spammed. Emails are spam. (Or not, :o)

I wouldn't. And I don't think anyone else would either (except you obviously). ;)

    You'd be talking rubbish.

You can't spam and email, you might as well say you're going to mondeo or Paul an email.

The words 'going to' imply an action and you need a verb to describe the action not a noun.

You can send, verb, spam, noun, an email.

  • I would say "mark an email as junk" as that is exactly what I do when I find a junk email straying into my inbox.

A single word can be both a noun
and a verb (and adjective and adverb in some cases..).

And as I listed before its generally accepted by dictionaries that Spam is a verb as well, in the same way Mail mean both letters(n) and the act of sending those letters (v).

I do like the idea of "de-spam" to be the verb for it however

    True.

I'd never really given it much thought but yes it's called spam and then there's to spam I suppose.

I think I'll go and lie in a darkened room for a while now :rotfl:

What a shame you people haven't got the brains to research this thing called the internet and more precisely the Ask Oxford (English Dictionary) website - SPAM IS A VERB:

That's a very polite and sensible post, isn't it? You've stooped to the low level of name calling those with a lack of knowledge of computer jargon/terminology.

    What a shame.
