It was in a fruit corner from Aldi. I've no idea what it is. Its unmarked. Obviously I've stopped eating it, bagged it tablet, pot and all up in the fridge and called aldi customer services but do I need to do anything else?
They siad they'd look into it and get back to me during the week but
I didn't feel they had a sense of urgency about it.
Shuold I just await their contact or do I take this elsewhere (if so where?)
Thanks

I should take it in the bathroom with half a glass of water...........:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
If your absolutely sure it's a tablet (rather than a solidified glob of milk), contact the Food Standards Agency. They'll probably get it tested fairly quickly.0

You need to contact you local Environmental Health Officer as they handle cases like this.If your absolutely sure it's a tablet (rather than a solidified glob of milk), contact the Food Standards Agency. They'll probably get it tested fairly quickly.

Trading Standards Officers handle complaints about food labelling, ingredients, and weights and measures.
In Scotland and Northern Ireland, Environmental Health Officers deal with all food law enforcement matters.0 -
I know that a lot of yoghurts have calcium added to them, so it's possible that they use pellets or tablets curshed up for this and that is what you found.
However, you should really do as earthstorm suggested and contact your local environmental health dept. I'm sure that for something such as this they will investigate fairly quickly.0 -
Throw it in the bin and move on with your life??
Or are you going for compo??0 -

And what happens if it turns out to be the case that someone in the youghurt factory, shop or a disgruntled customer is deliberately putting something in the yoghurt?
It's rare, but it has been known to happen.
It's not a great deal of effort to make one phonecall or send one email, something that could possibly prevent someone getting sick.0 -
A small white tablet. Was it an Ipad mini?0

Thank you for the advice.
No I am not after "compo". Thats a huge assumption to make. However I am after reassurance that its
a) a one off
b) not something that could have made me, my family or anyone else ill.
c) not a malicious act (and I'm sure Aldi would like to know those things too)
I didn't know how to proceed beyond my call to Aldi so I asked here and I'm grateful for your ansewrs0 -

so someone at the factory etc. has placed Paracetamol tablets in yogurts, so a small child takes one of these, can you image what would happen to that child.
As I stated contact EHO, they wont mind if its something innocent, better be safe than sorry.0
