Yes, my dealings with this nightmare landlady are finally over. Today I received my full deposit back, no quibbles from the LL whatsoever.

Apparently she misses sharing with me....bizarre, and has a new [STRIKE]victim[/STRIKE] tenant lined up.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to read my rantings and offer advice.

Congratulations! It must have been stressful and rather hard work but it's proven worth it in the end.

Enjoy your new home, your Christmas and your deposit money.

Wow! What a crazy story. Presumably she's now a registered landlord?

She might have been a nightmare landlady, but an enforced sex-change seems unduly harsh punishment to me!

No, I don't think she is going to register as a landlord and I wouldn't put money on her protecting other tenants' deposits either.

Sounds like she's trapped some other poor sod in the net to carry on with her weird shenanigans.
They will need all the luck in the world!!!

Glad all has worked out for you & you can enjoy your Christmas.
    Best present ever! :xmassign:

It has crossed my mind. I had an interesting chat with some of the neighbours before I left. They aren't happy with all her clients hanging around so are thinking about contacting the council about it. One asked when a red light was being installed ;)
  • Shop her. I wouldn't think twice about it. Plus the mortgage-lender and anyone else I could think of.

She's made your life a misery and I don't see any reason why she should be free to make someone else's one either.

    This is very true.
  • Well done on getting out of that one....she sounds like a total nutter.
