No - they'll be fine for the moment. But I wouldn't hang around. If your case was stayed, get in touch with your court and get your hearing re-listed.0

Ill leave that to the solictors,
but couldnt resist a little email to them in response to them waiting on the appeal
"Do you want my bank details or are you sending a cheque" ?0 -
:beer:Absolutely fantastic news!!!!
I wonder what will happen next, somehow I just can't see the airlines automatically paying 'stayed' cases, they may well still continue to defend cases and act like nothing has happened...
However the wine will be flowing tonight

I'm surprised at the lack of bbc and sky news on the subject, so far they don't seem to have given it a mention, surely this is worthy of coverage! After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!

Letter on its way to Jet2 telling them to pay up.
Well done Bott and Co.:dance::dance:0 -
I would imagine that even if Jet2 now finally accept that compensation IS payable for a technical fault. I wonder how they will try to minimise how much they finally pay.
i have checked the exchange rate for the date of the delay and also todays exchange rate and they are more or less the same at £1=E1.26
I wonder what exchange rate they use to pay the compensation. Are they obliged to pay interest. The claim was made more than 2 years ago now.0 -

Bored with the media hype that nasty compo claiming passengers will push up flight prices but some sense from Paul Lewis on BBC this morning! IMHO prices won’t increase – market forces will apply; the incompetent carriers will need to provide for future payments, competent airlines won’t or at least not as much. The former increase prices to cover the provisions, the latter don’t, take share and the incompetent (we know who they are) have to get better or get out.0 -
I think cawman is spot on.0

And instead of employing an army of people to fight these cases, the airlines will actually save money in paying up promptly and organising themselves to avoid delays in the future0
